Ainge Comparisons

I also like the way that people are saying the reason Ainge is not any good anymore is because of his injury (being timid now). However, everyone just discounts Crompton's injury and they think he will emerge like Joe Montana. It just shows how people form their own opinion (based on all types of different things) and then conform the facts to meet their opinion.

I hope Crompton comes back fully healthy and then Cutcliffe has both of them ready to go by the first game of the season. Ainge is definately the front runner, there is no question about that, but if he doesn't pick up on what Cutcliffe is teaching him and improve during the Spring then we could have a QB battle. I hope that doesn't happen. For the good of the team.

"However, it is not all about Ainge. Redshirt freshman Jonathan Crompton continues to rehab after shoulder surgery and despite not throwing yet, Crompton is champing at the bit for the spring competition. Crompton will start throwing at the end of the month and hopes to be near one hundred 100 percent by spring practice."

Pretty much the whole point of these boards is discussion about the past, present, and future sitatuation of Tennessee sports. That means that people are going to voice their opinions (hopefully supported by evidence)...

Would you consider statistics as evidence? What evidence do you have that your statement above is accurate?

...and perceptions about what has, what is, and what will go on with the Vols. The question is, why are you on this board if all you want is for people to stop talking about what might happen? Are you waiting for Cutcliffe or Fulmer to sign up to Volnation and give us exclusive first alert news that Crompton is or isn't going to start?

I don't think there is much chance of that but I cannot support my opinion with much evidence other than the statistic that they have NEVER DONE IT BEFORE.
