You do not drive if you have even had one drink of alcohol. Don't do it. Same for certain types of meds and any illegal mind altering crap. It is not just your selfish life on the line. It's not cool. It's not funny. It only takes one dumb mistake to screw it up for a lot of people including yourself.

That's not a freaking mistake! That's a freaking moron that needs his ass beat. As a firefighter I see this crap all the time and so many times only the victim is truly hurt....I make sure to not be gentle with my medical care to the drunk, and if my wife is ever hurt or worse by a drunk, I swear I will kill them on the spot, and my KPD officers will look the other way!! Stupid ass

And there is a crime for that. It's called manslaughter. This isn't 'Minority Report' with Tom Cruise where people get tried for what coulda happened.

Don't get me wrong, I agree drinking and driving is a horrible combination. And those that are bound and determined to drink in excess should call a cab or get a DD.

But for anyone that buys into the crap of a guy who drank 2 or 3 beers is showing the same poor judgement as the above scenario, it's hard to take that person serious. Face it, it's a money maker that pulls on self righteous people's heart strings so once again the state can pad it's pocket while slamming the door shut on one's career.

There is this little saying that's been around since the Common Law days back in England. "Let the punishment fit the crime". Not sure that's always the case here. Besides, whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? How about letting the facts of the case out before everyone starts throwing stones to feel better about themselves.
