It's on GoVolsExtra so I can't read it. All I can see is that Ainge says he'll for sure be back next year, which isn't surprising. What does it say about Meachem? A little help please....

"I'm going to let God make that decision for me when it's time to make that decision," Meachem said. "If it's best for me to stay, then I'll stay. If it's best for me to go, then I'll go."

Sounds like the answer your are suppose to say during the middle of the season. Im guessing he will leave if he keeps playing like he has been. B/C he will prob be first round pick

Depends on how he does in the combine, since that seems to be the all-deciding factor for draft picks nowadays.

Hate to see him go, he's a game changer and we really only got one good year out of him, but that's more our coaches fault than his

He's not leaving yet...so let's not write an obit. Granted, he's getting a lot of attention and with some of the injuries we've had this year - he's got to be thinking about that. But the number of quality wide receivers entering the draft this year will play into his decision...now we just have to see who all decides to declare adn hope that Meach waits a bit .. testing the waters.

Sounds Like he isn't thinking about it and really dosn't want to be asked that question at this point in the season. At least that I what I am hoping he is thinking!!!!! GO BIG ORANGE TAKE IT TO THEM COCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that he and Arron are both first rounders.
I've no wish to spend another offseason hearing that "We don't produce first rounders anymore" argument....

I think he will leave after seeing Harrell pass up the oppurtunity to go pro and then getting knocked out for the season.

it's already been mentioned, but a lot may depend on what Calvin Johnson, Dwayne Jarrett and a couple of others do...

I would think that if the draft gets watered down with a lot of good wr's, he might not take the chance on coming out early....if those guys stay, and vice versa....I think Johnson would be selected ahead of him...and Jarrett, i don't know...

but if all three go, he likely falls down the board a bit. the other guys are proven commodities over their career, and Meach has the physical traits and one good year...hard to say right now. AS they play today, he belongs in that group, no doubt.

Are you talking about the Dwayne Jarrett that has been hurt about 10 times this season? Meachem will blow him out at the combine. Unless he's far less intelligent than I think, Robert will be playing on Sundays next year.

Like I said, it's all about the measurables nowadays, homeboy. You know as long as he is focused, Meach is capable of going out and having every bit as good of a workout as guys like DJ and CJ. No matter how his career has been at UT, a great combine workout can catapult a player's status.

Donte Stallworth never played an entire season and was picked in the middle of the first round. It's all about the measurables. College production is, at best, secondary.

wow, i was just speculating on some of the other Jr's out there....i didn't say it was a lock either way, just something to consider...and i did go on to say that he does belong in that group either way, and he has the physical attributes an NFL Wide out needs to be successful...

sue me:p ...i want him to stay...purely selfish. He is 1st round type no doubt.

My opinion.... It's all about the measurables. :whistling:

Anyone think Meach can still run a 4.4 40 like they said he could coming out of high school? Or have injuries slowed him?

Don't think Meachem is leaving early. NFL teams have shown you don't need to draft receivers early to be successful, check the Patriots and Steelers. He will need to stick around his senior season for a shot at being a first rounder in my opinion.

I hope you're right... but it's looking like he's going to give the NFL some thought.

I think they should both wait until they are evaluated by NFL scouts and have projections where they woudl be drafted. If its early 1st round, I think its probably in their best interest to leave early.

Meachem is a top 20 pick. Tennessee's bowl game will be his final college appearance.
