bc we remember last year how highly touted this WR corp was and they didnt produce so scouts want to make sure he can play consitent same with ainge
liper--what about smith and swain? do you think they have a chance.....NFL scouts have been roundly quoted, both on and off the record, that the reason for TN's fall off on the field and in the draft is because they were poorly coached and underdeveloped. Thus, they were not prepared mentally or physically to play in the NFL unless they just overcame it with freakish talent, i.e. Stallworth, Witten, et al.
The debate on whether our problem has been coaching was answered a long time ago by anyone with a vested interest outside of the Neyland Sports Complex.
With that said, one great year by Meachem would be enough if the circumstances were right. But like you, I think he is still raw.

oh okay...i hope all three get a shot....i also think ainge is good and next year will help him improve even more....Not sure. I mean, I don't know any more than anyone else other than I have an opinion.
I question Swain's speed, but same with C Wilson and he's doing OK. So much of NFL WR play has to do with route running, to along with talent. And Swain has had very tutoring in that dept. for 3 years.
Smith is pretty good, not great. I think he'll get a shot somewhere.
What say u?
