Texas will waltz through the rest of their schedule. The bottom line is when a team keeps playing close games against average competition, its only a matter of time before they lose one.
It happened to USC this week, it happened to Auburn against Arkansas, and Georgia at Vandy.
IMO its only a matter of time before Texas and UT slip up and lose a close game they are expected to win. UT has always struggled in the past with Arkansas. That game concerns me.
They're the Falcons, not the Cadets.I just don't think we can have it both ways volbeef. If AF was making some waves in the Mtn. West things would be different. The cadets did lose to SDSU, which looks really bad BUT (here's the good news) 3-4 AF has beaten some 50-50 winning percentage type teams and they have two very winnable reamaining games: Army 3-6 and UNLV 1-7. AF will probably get schooled by ND. That means the Cadets only have to split on games against 5-4 Utah and 5-2 TCU to become bowl eligible.
Navy runs the triple option better than Air Force. My point was that those kids from the USAFA played a very good game. The best they have played all year and that should not be looked down on. I grew up playing the wish bone and I can tell you they did better than anyone I have ever seen do it. There were no miscuse by them. Now hate before you give me OU, Nebraska I know both had wishbone teams that would crush USAFA. By running the option as well as they did I mean excecution not talent. Thank God they didn't have the talent of the OU teams.
I can't see Greg Pruitt, Joe Washington, Billy Sims, Thomas Lott, or Jamelle Holieway playing for Fisher DeBerry. My point was that those kids from the USAFA played a very good game. There's a difference between a close game against Alabama and a close game against one of the twenty worst teams in college football. A good team doesn't find itself in trouble against a team as putrid as Air Force. Find me the last Top 10 team to come that close to losing to such a horrible team.
