Lol.Clearly we are talking about Minnesota and a black guy from Minnesota here. His post was a not-so-subtle way of saying he's surprised air fresheners in Minnesota are illegal because ......certain Minnesotans smell.
(its racist because we all know who the certain Minnesotans are - given his reference to Somalia and the topic at hand).
but ultimately I asked him so he can explain
Not really sure where to post this random thought so I will just do it here.
Obviously the blame comes down on the people involved but I wonder if the lock downs had any impact on some these situations. This shooting, and the knoxville one.
The nation has been in a strange place with the lock downs. We know that socialization plays a big part in the healthy development of people. We completely interupted/destroyed/denied that social aspect for a year.
We are seeing some signs of people struggling with more suicides, addictions and similar negative actions. Could the uptick of violence be one too?
As long as people were kept separate there was little chance of interactions with others. But now that we are opening up we are potentially dealing with a whole lot of cabin fever, at the least, as people rejoin society.
Idk, we will see if 2021 plays out worse overall but there has been a lot of cases of shootings recently where there hasnt been for a while. Could just be the coverage. But it got me thinking about the mental health of our nation.
What I've been told by white guilt ridden liberals:
Institutional racism drives black officers to be racist towards black suspects. It's all part and parcel of institutional racism...not that I buy that mind you, but that's the company line
Absolutely she deserves what she has coming. But also in this scenario If she was driving drunk and a homeless guy was doing cartwheels in the middle of 1-75 at 2am and she hit him, is it all her fault? This is just like saying because she drove drunk and killed someone, she just made a mistake and doesn't deserve any consequences.
The action was they discovered he had a warrant for waving a gun at police and then running. That’s what escalated the stopInnocent until proven guilty. You cant justify an action after the fact with new information. They had no idea who they were pulling over, or else we would have read that it was cops pulling over for an arrest.
