AJ, Sapp, and O'Brien involved in altercation. (Rumor/Speculation)

The police got two calls at one place, the second one was a fight. There are people on here saying there was drug use, assaults, 40 people drinking outside and somehow all this is the cops fault? I don't know what anybody did right or wrong, but the cops showing up in numbers to this type of situation is understandable.
Hope none of our guys got in trouble. Go Vols!

Ah, but they can say, "well, we didn't go there to search for drugs, we came there to stop an altercation. When there, we then noticed a strong smell of an illicit substance, so we then brought a dog in to signal for illegal substances. When the dog alerted that there were illicit substances on the property, we then had probable cause to search..."

K-9 units can make those dogs alert for no reason as well seen it ALOT on youtube, I'm just glad this is not a rape case.

This situation will not end up with any serious issues for those arrested since they'll likely be able to get the charges removed after community service etc. CBJ will most certainly use this as a "teaching point" for his team and program. Those involved may already be running!

When I was in school years ago at TN., we had some wild parties at my frat house that today would have had us all in jail. Kids will be kids and most of us went on to become CEO's, executives and entrepreneurs, but by today's standards we would have all had a police record. Yes I am just pissed at what has become of our country and the police mindset. AJ my Vol Brother you did the right thing by whipping that pos arse. One word to the KPD, go after some real crime and quit the intimidation of our students.

It depends on whether your loud party is disturbing others

What I have learned is that people drinking at parties have no respect for others around them. At 1 and 2 in the morning, people are trying to sleep. They don't want to listen to loud music or listen to yelling or screaming from drunk, obnoxious, human beings

People call the police and expect them to do their jobs.

Don't want us coming, act accordingly

I doubt "most" go on to become ceo's and executives. but I do get your point. most college kids do their fair share of partying and go on to do just fine (I wouldn't say become ceo's), but we expect these athelets to be above it all.

Already getting national attention. The arrests are now on the Bleacher Report.

I agree the police are becoming a new arm of the military for the gov't. All of these "dui checkpoints", and other shakedowns of the public are getting out of control the police should be put in there place they are here to serve the ppl not the other way around. Goes for the rest of the gov't to.

BR! :eek:lol: BR is to "national attention" like the Dominican Republic declaring World War.

Actually, my sources say AJ tried to break up a fight. When he did the cops witnessed him sling flip a guy into a wall by his shoulders. Officer ordered him on ground and cuffed him, saying he used improper technique. TIFWIW.

So, there was a college party where underage people were drinking? And a fight that started because some nimrod hit a woman?

This seems really minor.

And good for AJ

Thanks for your sincere reply, but you see the point I hope. Why ask our athletes to act differently than we did? I am not bragging only trying to make a point about college life but I did become a CEO and trust me I was no choir boy in college, but times have changed and I understand that. Don't like it but do understand, just think there needs to be better communications between the KPD and The University.

Agree, most won't be CEOs and executives. A lot will sit at home til their mid 30s complaining that they are victims of the 1% and collect their unemployment benefits and keep voting democrat. They might even occasionally join in some anti-capitalism protest, as long as it doesn't interfere with the latest episode of honey boo boo. Welcome to the new America.

Well, I sure wished the drunken, doped up, and uninsured b*tch that smashed into my car a couple of weeks ago had driven through one of those police state "dui checkpoints" about five minutes prior.

We do serve the people by getting drunks off the road

I'm a staunch supporter of the Constitution. The problem is most people really don't know their rights and believe they have rights that aren't protected by the Constitution

One of those is the right to drink and drive
