Little quick to jump the gun there, hoss. I would think that 7 years of college and 47 years of experience would qualify me to my opinion. It is not difficult to party and enjoy life without become disorderly and ending up in cuffs. I've been doing it for many years and have had encounters with police on several occasions myself. Regardless of the circumstances prior to the police showing up, getting charged with resisting arrest indicates that folks were not cooperative with police. A discussion about the events can take place without arguing with police.

Even the Democratic Party says that gun control is one of their main political platforms

The President himself got in front of the nation, with little kids as props, to try and force the Assault Weapons ban.

It's not like we are making this stuff up

As far as the right to free movement. It doesn't mean you can do what you want while you move. You still have to observe the laws of the States while you freely move within its boundaries

What airport has a check point for arrivals outside of customs for international. And they don't search you on arrival in customs.

I guess it's the mind set gramps. Lol. I still go out and build a fire, have a cold beer, a few friends over and play in the mud ( sometimes). Just no chasing girls. Wife wouldn't line that. :)

We partied in Shelby and Fayette county in my younger years. But we had access to land everywhere.

If the officers did nothing, then the complainant could file a complaint with the PD and the officer could face disciplinary action against them for not doing their job. That could effect promotions down the line, days off, and lost wages.

Not only do officers face the stress of being shot at work, they also face the stress of, even if they did nothing wrong in handling a call, they could still get complained on by a citizen that didn't get the satisfaction they thought should come to them

I got written up once for refusing to write a misdemeanor citation to some kids for playing basketball at the dead end of a street. The person who complained called my supervisor at the time and said I wouldn't do my job. I argued that 10 year old kids were not hurting anything by playing because they were not obstructing the flow of traffic, which was the basis of the City Ordinance. She complained so much, I got written up. Even though it was my discretion to issue citation under the law
