Ah, but they can say, "well, we didn't go there to search for drugs, we came there to stop an altercation. When there, we then noticed a strong smell of an illicit substance, so we then brought a dog in to signal for illegal substances. When the dog alerted that there were illicit substances on the property, we then had probable cause to search..."

Sure, probable cause to search you because you said you smoked weed earlier, and then they find nothing on you. Very few things can you be arrested for if you said "This one time I did this" to a cop. Drug use, with few exceptions, is one of them.

If a cop shows up to my house because there was a fight on the front lawn, and then goes inside to look for "evidence" without my permission? I'll be getting a cop fired by the end of the week.

Someone at the party said AJ Johnson beat up this a** of a guy I know, who's been arrested before and known to start fights and steal from parties and what not. Everyone who wasn't 21 there got a ticket for underage consumption.

Lets only hope something like this occurred/ and or profiling like Carson said, and all charges get dropped!

I had cops search me one time when I got pulled over in high school...Never again will I give permission for cops to search my vehicle, they can call the damn dogs....Those cops completely tore apart my car...dumped the contents of my bookbag out, pulled everything out of my center console out....then just left the mess

What average college kid in their right or drunk mind would think, "hey, this is probably a good idea to pick a fight with college/future pro linebacker?"

There's no way all those cops were there for a fight and underage consumption...is there!? I mean I could see wanting some back up at a party full of drunk football players...but the entire KPD?

The KPD wants all the attention of the cops that you'd see in movies without actually having to do work to accomplish it.

If there's a large gathering literally anywhere on or near campus, police come in force. I've seen 20 times.

Yeah my buddy learned his lesson, we had nothing to hide so we said yes. We didn't realize how much that ripped it up, we were like 20 or so. Had a different friend that said bring the dog, he swears they brought a puppy that jumped on the car for him to pet it. They said the dog hit and searched, they found nothing. Moral of the story, if they want to search they will find a reason.
