What do you mean?

His deal? He's been holding out for a Bama offer but doesn't sound like it's coming. He also wants to play basketball. UF and UT have given him the ability to play both.

His recruitment has been different because he really wants to play basketball. His preference would be a basketball only scholarship at a power 5 school. I think the main reason he didn’t sign in Dec was that he was hoping to get that b-ball offer before NSD rolls around in early Feb, so he’s basically playing a waiting game. Doesn’t seem likely that he will get that b-ball offer though, so his fallback plan would be to take a football scholarship and walk on to the b-ball team wherever he goes.

I agree. Doesn’t hurt we have his brother already here. I think he’s a steal. Could be a dynamic receiver for us at his size and speed & also might factor in at wildcat as well. He even has the body type of a big time SEC receiver. Needs a summer in the strength program, add 15 lbs to his frame. Matchup nightmare a la Alshon Jeffery

He won't be a TE, he'll play WR, runs a legit 4.5 at his size, his frame is too thin for TE.

He doesn't need 15 more lbs, he's around 235 now.

They (VQ) have never even spoken with Dee so not much there. He hasn't made a decision yet and isn't leaning one way or the other, if anything Florida may lead at the moment as they've made him feel like he'll get to contribute in basketball.

I wish!! Unfortunately I don't think he qualifies to be an early enrollee.

If he comes to Knoxville I don't think he'll play basketball, just a guy feeling. Both Barnes and Pruitt are extremely demanding coaching types and I think it'll be too much for him to handle. If he goes to FL I think he'll try to play both as Mullen is laid back and is much more forgiving on the thought of him playing both.
