And as soon as Bama offers he’s theirs. I’m hoping we take other CB’s TBH, just so we don’t have to deal with that headache down the road.
Bama has one CB commit and probably won't take but 1 more CB. Hill may not get an offer from Bama. He's been at Bama's camp for the last couple of days and Saban told him that he's going wait and see how things go with other CBs being recruited.

Maybe he will pull the trigger for us soon then.

I don't get it. If I'm a recruit and if a school tells me that I'm not highly wanted, I'm moving on and not listening to their calls closer to nsd.

But if its reversed, like with woodi, then he shouldn't move on? He should try to earn our offer? Alabama has earned the ability to treat in state kids this way. Hopefully we will get there too.

Its simple. Saban is the GOAT and its not close. He gives recruits the chance to play for championships every year. They get tons of national exposure and they get high quality coaching.

If cjp told woodi (I think he did) that he has to camp before having a committable offer and woodi says no, then both should move on.

This kid went to camp and then was told this. Woodi doesn’t have to camp here. But if he did and our staff told him what Satan just did, then who could blame him for moving on. These two situations are not apples to apples at this point in many ways.

I was just pointing out the fact that we take the opposite stance for our own in state guys. I don't blame this guy for wanting the Alabama offer and I don't blame our instate guys if they don't want to wait for our offer like hill seems willing to do for Alabama. Maybe a better comparison would be Adonis. But the main point still applies.

Talked to Hill this afternoon. He said he still have several visits to take. Will be at Tennessee this weekend. Coming back later this month. Will see South Carolina again. Wants to see Texas and Michigan. I think it would be the end of summer before he's close to doing anything. He won't name a top list of schools but I think Tennessee and South Carolina are probably out front because he's been to those two places the most.

In situations like that some recruits do move on and don't look back. Some, if that's where they really want to go, will work on other options and also work their tails off to have a great senior season in hopes of getting the chance to go where they really want to. Hill did say it wouldn't have a negative impact on Bama's chances if didn't get a Bama offer until later.

I've heard nothing but good things about Hill. Saban and Scott (UAs DBs coach) gave Hill lot's positive feedback about his skills and abilities and coached him up on some things at camp too.

Madison, Ala. defensive back Jaydon Hill is in the middle of a busy June. Hill camped at Alabama last weekend. He will be at Clemson June 13th and South Carolina June 14th. This weekend, Hill will be back on Rocky Top to see the Vols again.

“I'm still wide open,” Hill said. “I have an idea of some top schools right now, but I have a lot more visits planned throughout the summer. I plan on getting to Tennessee this weekend to visit then I will be back up on the 23rd to camp with coach (Terry) Fair. “I probably have 4-5 have top schools right now.”

Following the dead period, Hill plans to see Texas A&M and Michigan in July. In his previous trips to Knoxville, Hill has seen Tennessee's facilities. He's taken all the tours which is why this weekend is about relationship building. “Just continue to get a feel for things up there,” Hill said of goal on the trip. “I'm trying to visit as much as I can to see how I fit in and how comfortable I am there.

“It's really about the relationships with the coaches and furthering them as well as the players. I know Will Ignot and Jeremy Banks pretty well. I want to keep building those relationships and that's what the trip this weekend is really about.”

“It's going to be a gut feel thing,” Hill offered. “Depth chart is a factor but at the end when it's time to make a decision it's really going to be where my heart and gut is with everything. “I still hope to be done with the recruiting process before my senior season starts.”

I think Hill played against Banks.
1 time.
Ignot is from Bama.

I like how this kid has no issue with camping for UT.

Even with the offer.

On the other hand, this result is 10x better than taking your commitment and then recruiting over you later in the process. I wouldn't take it as an insult.

If I had a son and he was a recruit, I would definitely advise not committing until NSD. Might as well keep your options open since schools will definitely keep theirs open... nothing is final until you get papers to sign.

depends on how good the kid is, as to what those options are. sometimes the most prudent thing to do, is to take the sure thing.

but again that depends, too, on the situation.

Muschamp and his history with putting together monster defenses, probably. And he has some good recruiters on his staff.
And no one here wants to hear it but Muschamp has changed his personality pretty significantly. He’s not as much of an a**hole...to his own players at least

The way I see it.. every school had the right to ask a recruit to camp. The school is about to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in his education and as a football player. If a kid wants to get butt hurt, then honestly I think he should move on.

No one, and I mean no one is above the program. If your ego won't allow you to participate in a camp when requested then it's on you.

Personally, If I had serious interest in a school and they asked me to camp, then I would camp. The only way it would hurt you as a recruit is if you had a poor performance.

It also helps the recruit to interact with his future coaches, get a feel for how things will operate.
