Schools also pay coaches and huge support staffs MILLIONS of dollars to train, coach, mentor, and otherwise guide these student athletes. We invest more than just a classroom seat in these young men and women.

Plus facilities, travel, lodging, uniforms, medical, way more than room and board.

That's a pretty narrow way to look at it.

"Today was a great day," Hill said. "What stood out was the time spent with the coaches and building on my relationships and stuff. Just visiting and being around campus and working with the coaches."

Looking for cornerbacks in the class of 2019, Hill and his Southern X'press teammates Malachi Moore, Trenton Yowe and others went through drills with the staff. It was cornerbacks coach Terry Fair working with Hill, who loved what he saw from the teaching standpoint.

"They told me I did a great job," Hill said. "Throughout the drills they were coaching me and encouraging me. I like the way they coach and their style. It was my first time seeing them coach because I hadn't been up for practice. I could see myself being coached by coach Fair. He breaks it down to you and makes sure you understand."

"He made it clear that he wants me," Hill said. "He needs corners to come in and play right away. To come in and make a change. I can see that too when I look at their depth chart."

Hill was accompanied on his visit by his parents as well. It was a good opportunity for them to just take it all in.

"They liked it," Hill said. "They liked the coaching staff and how they went through things. Just the overall place."

South Carolina, Texas A&M and Alabama join Tennessee near the top for Hill. Hoping to commit sometime this summer, he is looking to close out his recruitment with a college choice that he feels really good about both on and off the field.

"I want to be able to focus on my senior season," Hill said. "Playing time, relationships and academics are big factors for me. That's what I'm looking for."

And today went a long way to showing Hill that Tennessee has what he's looking for in those areas.

"It was a great day for Tennessee," Hill said. "Just me getting used to everything. This was a big jump and this boosted me even more with Tennessee."

I would imagine he’s def a take, but I’ve got a feeling USCjr is the big player here, that’s if bama doesn’t offer.
