i dunno. i listen to swain a lot. so i don't dislike him or anything. i do find it hard sometimes to take him seriously.

though i'll give credit where its' due, and he was right, more than wrong, about some of the criticisms he had about how the program was run the previous 5 years.

Is it true that Swain constantly tried to use his former player status for information, and each coach grows tired of it after a while and cuts him off? I’ve heard this but have always wondered if it’s true. It kinda makes sense though because he seems to have an agenda to push about how horrible of a person each former coach (Dooley, and Butch) were.

Yet they get praised at the beginning of each cycle and somehow transform into horrible people by the time they’re shown the door. It’s a pattern. Dooley got praised for not being Kiffin. Then everyone was so happy to finally have a “players coach” like Butch. I’m not saying it’s not true because I have no idea, but their character wasn’t questioned until games started being lossed. It sounds like Dooley was very stuck up, and a total ego-maniac. Not sure about the Butch narrative, he was a horrible coach no doubt.

Probably. Especially if he is as annoying as his radio show is.

I was personally conflicted because of Drae Bowles’ sterling reputation as a great young man.....and not wanting to believe Jones would’ve/could’ve possibly done what he was accused of doing and watching my team and university get hurt yet again. But I agree with you, given what we now know, it was very likely true, at least to some extent.

cornerback jaydon hill worked out with terry fair earlier in the week. It’s shaping up to be a south carolina-ut battle for hill, who will visit the gamecocks again this weekend and then return to tennessee on june 23. Hill is set for a decision sometime around july 4.
