Idk if Martinez is a good recruiter or not but I do know he out-recruited the national champs for Gibson.

The ideal finish is Matthews, Gibson, Elijah Davis, Dickey/Ray, Robinson, Lang, and landing Hobbs and flipping Walker once Brown is gone from UNC. Maybe flip the safety from Louisville that’s teammates with Davis to play LB

Landing Gibson and Matthews would even shut me up about his ability to recruit elite corners, and I’ve not been impressed with him at all so far. Both are prospects that can start on an SEC contender

Not if the right guy is available. We are still thin at CB and at least one currently on the roster is going to transfer out after this season. I also still think Conyer is going to end up at nickel before long.

I still can't see them taking more than 6 high school DB's in this class.

He absolutely is a big get. But I was referencing his rankings to talk about Martinez’s ability as a recruiter. Getting Gibson doesn’t necessarily mean WM is a good recruiter.

I don’t think the coaches go by recruiting rankings. If they did, we hired the wrong coaches.
