He’s a corner that the defending national champions that just fielded arguably the best defense in college football history wants and wants bad and so far we have no corners and it’s our weakest position on the roster. You do whatever you can to get himNumber 461 in the nation gets NIL money? Don't get me wrong. I want him to commit here, but this kid gonna have to work for it. Hope he gets it.
I think what you meant to say was, “this kid has an elite offer list and measurables, some of the best programs in America want him badly. It would be nice if the recruiting services updated his ranking to reflect these things. It’s unfortunate we put so much stock into these services.”Number 461 in the nation gets NIL money? I hesitate to give any single coach too much credit but I believe you are right. Some here though are just hung up on "stars". I'd take a CB room full of Cam Suttons and Emmanuel Moseleys any time.WM recruited Emmanuel Moseley, didn't he? Another low ranked dude with excellent speed. That one definitely turned out alright.
Oline is good. I would love to have had a better recruiting class this year but we aren’t done and the talent we have on campus now is pretty good imo. Interior Dline scares me. Really need to start landing some guys there. That said a week ago I was worried about CB as well and now it looks like we’re going to be pretty good there. Landing Matthews and Gibson and finishing with some interior dlinemen would make this class stellar imo.Be more concerned about the trenches. He’s underrated and we’re very close to getting 4* Matthews
ideal is a big word. There is also no way this all happens, IMO, but we will get some other dudes who will help us.The ideal finish is Matthews, Gibson, Elijah Davis, Dickey/Ray, Robinson, Lang, and landing Hobbs and flipping Walker once Brown is gone from UNC. Maybe flip the safety from Louisville that’s teammates with Davis to play LB
on33-star cornerback Rickey Gibson
Announcement date: Aug. 14
On3 RPM: Favors Tennessee
The buzz: A few days ago, Georgia looked to be the team to beat for Rickey Gibson. Things have swung back towards Tennessee over the last 24-48 hours though. Before Georgia really decided to jump in the race for Gibson, the Vols were clearly the frontrunner. The Bulldogs had Gibson in camp in June, they offered, and they turned it up with him over the last few weeks. Tennessee stayed consistent and the opportunity to play early is playing in their favor.
No the dream would be flipping Mauigoa, Ramil, Benson, and Parker or Burley after a big season. There’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to land Gibson, Matthews, Davis, and Lang and maybe Hobbs if we have a great season. Dickey is the biggest stretch on there and I think they offered this late in the cycle for a reasonMore like dream class lol
Sharing some of that gold you have buried in your back yard, Ron.I think what you meant to say was, “this kid has an elite offer list and measurables, some of the best programs in America want him badly.
