"Hand it to me or I'll go somewhere that will" is not the same as "I'm not just going to accept whatever BS you try to spoon feed me and be thankful for it" which is actually what most kids nowadays are doing.

If depth chart at LEO is such a big deal to Ross and we are trailing UGA and UF because of this......our coaches are failing at recruiting. Our depth chart compared to UF should not be an issue. UF has three 5* DE's 2 of which are definitely LEO's already committed in the 24' class. They had 2 4* LEO's in the 23' class. If Ross is more concerned with guys that are 2 years older than him and would be gone in a year, over 3 guys in his same class, this is some serious recruiting failure. Obviously Ross could just be giving a BS excuse as for his waning interest in UT as of late, but either way we went from being a clear front runner on this kid and several others like Fountain etc... to out of the picture.

UGA's depth chart should be more scary than ours lol. Not sure wtf is going on with the Ross being overly concerned with our depth chart comment, it makes no sense whatsoever since he has UF and UGA ahead of us now.

Agree, but UGA isn’t ahead of us right now. It’s between us and UF

According to Austin Price, the person that put out the Ross info, he specifically said Ross has UF and UGA battling UT because he was concerned with UT's depth chart at LEO. I would think that info is more accurate than Wiltfong's.

Look at page 12 and 13 in this thread, they reference the Austin Price quote from VQ chat but they didn't quote it entirely bc of taking private info verbatim concerns.

You gotta have a subscription to VQ, it was on a monday night VQ chat. Just go back to page 13 and you can see a few posters mentioning the info that Austin Price put out in that VQ chat.

My bad. Chad Simmons mentioned UGA sources being confident, with us and UF...all three are confident. Didn't see anything of AP mentioning them, though.

If he is concerned about our depth at LEO, it must mean he wants an easy route to playing time. If that is the case, let him go wherever he want to go. I like players who are willing to fight for playing time.

If this five star guy is scared of our depth that tells me a few things.

1. He may be a pansy, scared of competition.

2. He saw our guys and thought "Tennessee has some freaks. I'll never see the field."

3. A bit of a side note but he's in Birmingham and it doesn't seem like Alabama nor Auburn are pushing hard

We only want players with that dawg in them. He don't fit. You got to have players with the sack size of Merklinger who say I don't care if the number one quarterback is going there. I want to go there to and challenge him to try to beat him. This guy ain't it.

This has to be the weirdest one I’ve seen this year. The kid must be looking at the wrong depth chart if he’s looking at where he can start or contribute the soonest; portal kind of makes how many you take at a position in a class irrelevant.

If he wants guaranteed playing time he should go to a Big 12 school,Lord knows all them need help on defense😃
