fongadonged!Wiltfong dropped an article/video this morning basically confirming all the heat is towards the Vols. This year the donger has been batting 1.000 inside of a week of a commitment so this one sounds totally wrapped up.
Let’s get Okoye and pull Cole back in the boat then try to talk Wingo out of a bad business decision. Anything else is just some sprinkles on top of a great class.
yep. and i don't care where this class ranks, i think when it's all said and done, as a group, this may wind up the best collection of overall talent in a class that we've had since the very early 00'sAvg recruit rating should hit that 92 mark. I feel like anything 92+ is championship contending
That’s elite
I think Heupel is a better X’s and O’s Coach. If the two coaches swapped rosters, what would the results have been? Also have to remember, Kirby walked into a stacked cupboard of talent already. Kirby’s a great motivator and recruiter, Heupel is better at X’s and O’s and scheming. Heupel is probably a more “likeable” player’s coach as well.Clock management I think Heupel is slightly better, motivational wise it’s hard to counter what Smart has with that crew. Great thing about all of this is they’re both mid-late 40’s and there will be plenty of time to settle the discussion
I think that Garner knows DL. He seems pretty satisfied with things. I do like the direction of things, and, it would feel more reassuring as a fan to see more beef in this class. Hearing things out of camp are really good.yep. and i don't care where this class ranks, i think when it's all said and done, as a group, this may wind up the best collection of overall talent in a class that we've had since the very early 00's

yeah, i think looking back on it, we really shot for the moon as a whole on the DL recruiting and i think, overall , we did a really good job with it, and still aren't done.I think that Garner knows DL. My guess is we missed on our highest ranked guys at DL, arent going to push for other guys unless they move up. May go to portal still yet. I'm still betting we get Smith, coupled with two we have now. And potentially one more that will pop up in December after Missouri craps the bed. We will be fine in the potral.
2025 is best in state DL class ive ever seen. Allvols says 24 is a pretty weak class for DL.

A lot of folks probably don’t want to hear this but Kirby is probably more similar to Fulmer. During his prime, Fulmer was a great motivator and recruiter that basically out talented people outside of Florida (talent was more even and we had more talent at times). Fulmer also had good coordinators, especially with Cutcliffe.
Got Bennet Warren highly interested because he was visiting LSU and saw that blow out with all those Vols fans there. Totally put us on his radar. To add on, there was also an interview this morning, Ross said he’s known where he’s going for a week and he’s glad to just be done with it. I didn’t know this, but his sister goes to Alabama. The fact Tennessee is gonna pull a 5 star edge from Alabama after he was here for 52-49 is absolutely glorious.
He plays with good leverage and is disciplined in his pass rushes and has good technique on keeping contain. He’s the type that you could play all three downs and not just a 3rd down pass rush specialist. So I just got done watching his film.
He has a great first step, seems to use his hands well.
Obviously he’ll probably have to put on 20 pounds to play at this level but looks to be a very coachable dude.
RG should turn him into a star.
Yep! Now, let's do this with the '25 and '26 classes as well. We'll be just as talented as the best of the best, and our scheme will give us the edge in every game.
I love Heupel but I honestly don’t see how you can say he is a better coach than Smart. I mean how can you say definitively that Heupel is better on game day?
Bama having 17 penalties and noone elite to throw to sure helped us out. Yes he over achieved in year 2, but saying he is a better coach than Kirby smart "Who took his team to the national championship in year two" is comparing apples to oranges. Its still too soon to be saying anything like that. How else do you explain how CJH beat Bama and Saban with a still depleted roster and still under the threat of severe NCAA sanctions while it took Smart how many years after loading up on signing days after taking over a loaded but underperforming squad? Doing more with less is better than doing more with more.
