Just doesn’t make sense to go to Bama.

Figured he’d want to make his own name for himself instead of just following in his brother’s footsteps.

His brother's footsteps are impressive but, are only one half of the National Championship game. Most everyone assumes that what we saw then we will see in every game. Could be or could not be. I expect he is a very good football player and he is expected to be. However, much of his future success depends on his mental approach to this season. I doubt he is a flash in the pan. We will see when the season is about 1/3 finished.

Dang you would catch one of my misspellings that I almost never make.... And yes you would be correct.

As for your question I do not believe they need two QBs and I also believe that was a rhetorical question to bring on a point of why Tua is planning on switching his commit in the first place.

I don’t think it’s because he’s threatened by the competition (and not saying you do) but being THE guy in a class is an underrated selling point for high end talent. More love to show and our new staff seems very expressive.

Yeah, I agree on all points.

Did you watch when he would come in to play in garbage time during Alabama games? He was torching teams with the 2nd string receivers.

I mean you had 2 chances. Didn't it say henderson at first? :)

Dang man.... Can't post anything in this board without Sleegro being on creeper status.... That was literally posted for like 3 secs.... Maybe I just stink at spelling?

I was trying to post a Harry and the Henderson's pic but you changed it before I could quote it. So I let it go. :lolabove:

If Jalen Hertz can get them there, I'm confident Tua will be just fine. He doesn't have to be flashy. Look at the list of Bama qb's under sayben.

Thanks for the edit. By “hinder” you mean someone else to throw in with Bear’s great grandson? You think they NEED two QB’s in this class?

Any buzz that Lil' Bear might leave bummer in the rear view????

First, I don't go out of my way to watch Alabama and I believe his stats before the last half of the Championship were average ; no where near what he did in his last game. If he was as good as he showed in his last game he would have been starting the last half of the entire year.

Tua's stats for the year, not counting the National Championship game - 35 completions in 53 attempts (66% comp. percentage) 8 td's, 1 int.

Tua's stats in the NC game - 14 completions in 24 attempts (58% comp. percentage) 3 td's, 1 int.

Tua's stats have been great all year, he just wasn't needed to win. If Hurts had played better during the NC game, Tua still wouldn't have played.

That's not true. His stats were not average for a guy being put in for garbage time. Most QBs in garbage time don't throw or score any touchdowns.

He played in 8 games as a (True Freshman), threw 49 of 77 for a 63% completion percentage. He threw for almost 636 yds and 11 TDs with 2 ints.

Those aren't just average stats for a guy who never started a game..... He was the 2nd string QB the whole season.

Just to put that into perspective, Jarrett Guarantano (A Redshirt Freshman) for us played in 9 games, threw 86 of 139 for a 62% completion percentage. He threw for 992yds with 4 TDs and 2 ints as a starter in I believe 8 of those 9 games.

I'd say Alabama's future starting QB is not average. Also that didn't figure in Tagovailoas rushing yardage. But it was also up there.

Exactly. Plus, it's not like they have another QB they're really trying hard for anyway. I don't think they feel like they need a QB in this class unless it's him. Or they have a backup option in guys like Mumphrey or that JUCO kid who Helton is supposed to go see throw this summer. I'm fine with them going all in for Tagovailoa

They absolutely know they need atleast 1 QB in this class. They are just doing due diligence and finding the right guy. Chryst will be gone and if he beats out JG there's no guarantee he stays.
