'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

They absolutely know they need atleast 1 QB in this class. They are just doing due diligence and finding the right guy. Chryst will be gone and if he beats out JG there's no guarantee he stays.

That would leave Shrout, McBride and Tagliovola.

Yeah they need one.

Paul Tyson can't go anywhere BUT Alabama. Because that's where his family legacy leads him.

Guys...the beginnings of a HUGE college football story could be taking shape here. If Tagliovola comes here.

Nick Saban has 5 more years I think. I think Paul Tyson will be the last QB he coaches at Alabama.
And as far as HOW GOOD is Paul Tyson?? He's only going to get better and better. He's as talented as anybody. Being the Bear's lineage aside, the kid is a hell of a prospect.

But before that...Tua, will win Saban maybe another 2 NCs... He'll be one of the most celebrated QB to ever play for Bama.
Now here comes Paul Tyson...in Sabans Twilight years.

And every 3rd Saturday in October they will face the brother of their Heisman winning, Multi-National Championship winning legend.

Guys...this is the beginning of one of the BEST college football dramas ever seen.
Just my feeling...

I guess those are not too bad for a true Freshman. I assumed that if his stats wee so good, he would have been starting. Do you know in which games he played and which parts of the games he played? Were they mop-up appearences in the 4th quarters or were they at critical times of the games?

The reason he wasn’t starting had nothing to do with how good Tua was. It was because he had a very good, older player ahead of him. Alabama won nearly every single game with Hurts as qb before and after freshman Tua got there and there was no reason whatsoever to to rock the boat and make a QB change.......until the 2nd half of the National title game vs Georgia last January, and we all saw how that played out.

Let me take it a step further.

Tyson will have two years to learn from the Tua Tagliovola.

So...he will be ready when his time comes.

Tyson will be the last QB of Saban. Ushering out maybe the greatest to ever coach college football while he himself is the greatest representation of Bama football.

On the otherside.
Our Tagliovola will be the spark that ushers in the legacy of Jeremy Pruitt and the domination of Tennessee Football that will even SURPASS the Fulmer years.

I've watched college football for a long time now. And these types of drama always manifest. And it's what makes college football one of a kind.

Yeah Bama was in a weird spot. But greatness won out. He could have pulled a Les Miles and stuck with the QB in the NC game that got them there...and ultimately lost said game.

Bama is going to be damn tough to beat next 3 years. I honestly think Tua is going to be their Tim Tebow.

I really hope little brother signs with us.

polyana aside, :eek:lol:i do agree, landing a qb like that, with that name, with that kind of talent, could be exactly that...the spark.

i would say it may be akin to when Fulmer landed Manning. sure we had had top notch qb's in Andy Kelly and Heath Shuler prior, but when Fulmer got Manning to come here, it's what helped take it to another level.

fulmer/pruitt situations are different...a lot different, but getting a qb like that....it's a difference maker, and probably what helped Fulmer and co. sort of 'stand on their own' as a staff, and not just be coaching Johnny's players.

similarly, a kid like Taulia would deomostrate the same for pruitt, and be that cornerstone recuit for THIS staff.

no pressure though.:)

He wants to be an EE. Enrolling in January, taking a RS and sitting behind his brother might not be the most exciting option for a competitive guy who wants to play.

Committing to Bama might be the most convenient for his family, but as he gets closer to graduating, he might start thinking, "What's best for me?" And other options could start looking better and better.

It's his dad who's pushing him to see UT. Hopefully he's telling him he should forge his on path and play against his brother.

There's also the transfer issue with Tua if he doesn't play... not to mention Tyson, who's coming in ready to compete. Tyson is a big, physical QB with a high ceiling and a strong legacy. When it comes to paths, UT has a good pitch.

Or they could just send him a copy of "The Book of Manning." Stepping out of your brother's shadow can be a very good thing.

The silence makes me wonder. Just guessing but either Saban stopped it or Pruitt chewed someone’s backside for leaking information about the visit. Either way it isn’t good for us when secret visits go public

There's no such thing as secret visits anymore with Social Media.
