'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

No it wasnt his only option. There is always that possibility that Hurts could have cane out in the second half and lit UGA up. We will never know. But Hurts had much more big time experience and Tua had none.

If Tua would have played in the playoff games then I would agree with your assumption it wasnt that big of a call. But to pull your starting QB at halftime for a true FR in the NC game is big time.

Agree to disagree. Hurts hadn’t lit anybody up all year. His lack of ability to throw the ball down field got exposed in that offense last year. Georgia had the talent to stack the box and dare him to do it, and he couldn’t.

You kept bringing up him possibly being ineligible because of courses he had already enrolled in then the new rule not being effective til October every lil possible snag. You didn’t want it to happen...it’s ok being honest. You’re not openly obnoxious about but you grip your talking points in your remaining teeth and hold on for dear life. Whatever happened with that inner press conference with yourself where you mulled never posting again? Knew you were hooked. :wink2:
Actually a Vol fan was the first to mention something about players maybe not being able to take advantage of the NCAA's grad transfer provisions if they're already enrolled in grad school. I think I mentioned a couple of times that Kennedy had graduated in December and had been taking grad courses at UA. I did discuss the whole grad transfer rules topic and Kennedy's situation a lot. I stated that I had mixed feelings about it and explained all that. I talked about things that didn't sit well with me. I also said I thought the rules would get changed in favor of the student athletes and that I thought Kennedy would be able to transfer to UT in the end. I also talked about potential unintended consequences. I was pretty much in hornets nest of posters like you the entire time, who love to tell me what I said in their own words and put their own spin on what I meant. I've moved on from the Brandon Kennedy thing. It's a done deal. Like I said before, we'll all get to see what kind of impacts the transfer rule changes have. But you're still chasing me all over Volnation doing the same stuff you do whenever I post anything.

What happened to the "I'm leaving" promise. You keep coming back rehashing the same arguments over and over. We are :disappointed:

Yeah I think he’s suppose to be in Knoxville the whole weekend. Kind of odd for a QB committed to another school wouldn’t you say Tidal?
Yeah, I don't think it's very common.

It might be a sign he's considering flipping. It might just be that he's developing an option, in case of potential unexpected events. I really don't know.

Nolan Smith isn't a QB. He's the #1 OLB in the country and a prized long-time UGA commit. He's from GA but plays at IMG. He's firmly committed to UGA and actively recruits for them. But he has very good relationships with Lupoi and Saban and visits Bama pretty often, occasionally staying overnite too. He has no intention at all of flipping, unless something went really wrong at UGA. He's openly said as much.

I'm not stating that I think Taulia's visiting UT is like what Smith does. I really don't know. Maybe Taulia is thinking about flipping. We'll see.

Oh, you mean BRUIN? Hardened, introspective fella there! Being compared to a hornet’s nest means I’m doing it right.

That's not what I said.

QB skills coaching and development is not Kiffin's forté. Kiffin's strength is as an OC -- scheme designer, game planner, play caller. He's great at tailoring offensive schemes to make the most of what his QB and other players do well and avoiding what they can't do well. He made the QBs look good because of what he did as an OC, not because he helped them develop their abilities as a passer.

Enos' strength is developing QB skills -- mechanics, accuracy, developing their ability to quickly read the field, pre & post-snap, go through progressions, find the open receiver, look-off safeties....etc. In short, developing (improving) the QBs abilities.

This is the first time Saban has had a dedicate QB position coach. That's what he's done with the 10th on field assistant spot the NCAA now allows. Mike Locksley is Bama's OC.

Idk how to make it any clearer. Smh.

Given the bolded statement, can you please list the QBs he's turned into stud players? The way you talk about his skill as a QB coach, he must have a string of success stories.

Remaining teeth. Like it.

Wait. Are you trying to tell me bruin is a vol fan? I thought he was just squatting here when we moved in and wouldn't leave.

Meh, I don’t think it was a gutsy call by Saban to put Tua in. It was the only call; they weren’t winning that game with Hurts in the game. In fact it was probably a game late. Tua would have given them a much better chance to beat Auburn.

Not gutsy to remove the starting QB who was something like 27-2, who’d all but won you the title game the year before, the guy you’d won with all year long, in favor of a true freshman who’d thrown about 50 passes in his only year in college?

On one hand I agree, because Hurts clearly wasn’t getting it done and showed no signs that he would going forward. But on the other hand....I think most coaches in that situation try and regroup at halftime with Hurts. At least that’s what everyone else seemed to think it in calling it a bold move.

Have you watched a Bama game the last 2 years?

Moxie? Hurts might’ve caught fire? With his arm?

Dumb.

I don’t don’t about the rest of you but the simple fact that we are arguing with Ts about the possibility of one of Bamas prized recruits flipping to us gives me the warm and fuzzies . A year ago we couldn’t have imagined that , 7 months ago we were a dumpster fire . CJP reminds me of James woods on family guy walking around picking up recruits out from under other schools like .. oh piece a candy , oh piece a candy , oh piece a candy .

I think it was also known that if he didn't play in that game, tua was gonna transfer.
