No way Tyson can beat out Tua. Idk if there are any current college QBs who could. And it's and not likely Tyson can beat out Taulia. He's tall but that's about his only advantage. In terms of QB skills, Taulia is considerably better than Tyson.
Kiffin is overrated as a QB coach. He's no QB whisperer by any stretch of the imagination. What he's good at is tailoring the offense to fit his QBs strengths and minimize the adverse impact of his weaknesses.
Right now Tualia is better than Tyson. I look for that to even out quite a bit in 3 years
About 7 years ago you all had a guy that was very similar to Tyson. He was out of Mobile and later on had a beautiful girlfriend that almost caused a famous Sports commentator to get canned! That guy was pretty good at Alabama.
Not to mention the fans will clamor for him to see the field.
Taulia loves Tennessee. So does his parents.
That was my point. Kiffin is an excellent OC who tailors the offense very well to use the strentghts his QB has and avoid his weaknesses. He's not really adept at developing a QBs passing abilities in terms of QB mechanics or improving his ability to read the field and find the open receiver. I'm not saying Kiffin can't help a QB some in those areas, but it's not really his forté.Tidal you come in here with good thoughts and input usually.
But man you just said Kiffin is overrated as a QB coach...then explained the reasons...of WHY he is a very good QB coach lol!
The guy won a Title Jake Coker at QB. Then led Jalen Hurtz to SEC Offensive player of the year...as a true freshman.

You mean Like QB brothers Austin and Brandon Allen who were coached by Alabama's QB coach Dan Enos at Arkansas and are now in the NFL?
Yeah, that'd be terrible for Taulia, especially when you think about the talent level of coaches and teammates, chances of winning, being drafted, etc. that Taulia would have at Bama.
Not to mention that Bama is about an hour or less from his home and he's been spending every weekend there for over a year -- already "home" for him.
 He'd be insane to choose that.
Yeah Bama was in a weird spot. But greatness won out. He could have pulled a Les Miles and stuck with the QB in the NC game that got them there...and ultimately lost said game.
Bama is going to be damn tough to beat next 3 years. I honestly think Tua is going to be their Tim Tebow.
I really hope little brother signs with us.
Agree, good call by Saban and better Monday morning quarterbackin by me. Thing is about Miles that year, he used 2 qb's that whole year and come Natty time he stuck with Pettigrew.Agree. Great gutsy call by Saban in that spot. How many coaches wouldve done that in a regular season game much less in the title game? But then again, Tua is special and the offense was dead with Hurts inability to throw/win from the pocket.
Also agree in hoping we sign little brother. Sure feels like the longest of long shots though imho

Saban opted for Enos over Dan Werner, so I figure he's probably a good QB coach. Helton, might be too. Idk who else he's coached besides Darnold, but Darnold was already a special talent coming out of HS. Same with Tua. The only thing that kept Tua from taking over as the starter sooner was his knack for throwing too many picks in practice. He gradually got better about not doing that.
