Messing with this dude is a complete waste of time imo. Either him or Bears grandson are going to waste their time sitting on Nicks bench for two or three years till one gets some sense and moves on...only one ball at a time boys

It’s odd to me that he was supposed to be here through the weekend, but left and Saturday and was helping Saban that day. Doesn’t sound good. Makes me think he was either here recruiting for Saban and got sent home early or the visit didn’t go well at all

It's my understanding that he just came up to briefly camp/workout for/with UT's coaches. He went right back to UA to help peer recruit. There are lots of visitors and campers on campus Sat-Mon.

Swanson posted that To'oto'o went from here to Bama in his thread. Coincidence? Or is my tin foil hat screwing with me.
I'm not positive, but I think To'oto'o planned to visit UA (thru Monday). UT and UA both have former De La Salle players on staff, Vols player development asst Kevin Simon and Tide DC Tosh Lupoi.

Well I took the time of reading on the AU forums about this situation and some other info. The facts:

-Taulia is on Bama campus nearly every week.

-The Tago family is very family oriented hence why they all moved to AL.

-Being a tight unit, "It will be very hard not to choose Bama" (Taulia and dad).

-Taulia does not care about competition, and having another QB over him "matters none."

-Bama openly stated they must take 2 QB's this cycle (2019).

-4 weeks ago they flipped an Ark St. QB in the 2018 class (Layne Hatcher). I'm not sure how this factors in for the QB situation for 2019

-Being close to home is HUGE but God is bigger. They are a unified Christian family. Their family has peace and humility about this situation. This will be a God moment and it will come down to His desire for their family (yes that's fact).

-There are more but you can find it.

Taulia truly likes UT and this isn't over. Bama is recruiting him different because he is around campus every week. He is pretty close to Damien Harris and a few other Tide boys. Taulia and family aren't about secrets or deception. I wouldn't treat Taulia "recruiting for Nick" the same as that other joker whom I won't name who left Clemson recently. Bama is family to his family. I expect when Taulia knows (if he does flip), he will tell Bama out of respect they have shown him. We are doing all we can and I'm thankful we have a staff that competes now (Thumbs tired).

I wish you would go the heck away..You make my BVS flare up.
Sorry. There seemed to be some confusion about where Taulia was actively recruiting for Bama. I was only trying to help, by explaining that he's doing Bama recruiting on Bama's campus. I very seriously doubt he was doing it at all on UT's campus. He's not the kind of person who would do that.

Exactly. His family are wonderful people. The best shot we have, and good for us, is JP and crew are straight forward and honest. They admire that. The car salesman pitch would never work with this family.

It really sounds like we are wasting our time, and it feels to me like the staff is all in on flipping him or nothing, and I am not really liking this approach..but..I am no expert..There are always some overlooked diamonds out there to be found at QB. I'm thinking maybe they figure on identifying one of those types through the season if they can't get who they obviously really want.

Relax. We got Shrout recruiting him for like, 15 minutes. There just aren’t any Sam Darnold-type can’t miss guys out there. They saw some guys at camp and they are cruitin other guys. Chill is the word at QB this year. Just how it is.

I much enjoy civilized discussion, thank you brother. I agree it can leave a Vol quite anxious! I trust the staff that there is a chance, but it is patiently going to go to December from what he's implied. The only definite OVs he is taking (so far) will be us, Bama, and USCjr. I think Muschamp has < 1% from what I've read and discern.
The only peace I have with this situation is knowing our staff shows genuine love to the family (even while at Bama), and they are open to the Lord's direction. I'm laying it to rest. Hope it works out and my personal opinion is how we fight on the field will speak loudly.

Interesting tidbit, forgive me if it's been said before. Because team recruiting rankings are a sum, it doesn't matter to pay attention until the class is nearly full. What I noticed on 247 team rankings, is our Vols are 3rd in the SEC behind UGA and Bama for average rating per recruit. CJP and company have taken our Vols from the worst season in history to 3rd best average in the entire SEC this early. Who does that?! Have we even hit our ceiling? How much higher can we go (or sustain), until we hit the hype limit before the season starts? Go Vols!

I wonder when Alabama eventually falls from the elites to an also ran program, are you going to continue to live on this site? I'm willing to bet we won't hear from u again.

I feel bad for even questioning the kid. This is the guy that would put us back on the map. Unfortunately, I’m afraid we have little chance of getting him. Sigh.

I do too, but AaronUTs posts notwithstanding, if he is helping try to pull To'oto'o to Bama imma be ticked.

I like that we're still going after him and that he still seems open to the idea. Odds are we don't get him but I don't think it's close to over. I also don't think that we are putting all our eggs in one basket. We are still recruiting other qbs and new ones we haven't heard of will pop up. They definitely have a back up plan.

Yes and I’m not as sold on the idea that we MUST get a QB in this class like some others are. We need one, sure, but since I’m high on JG I don’t view it as a MUST. I think going from Canales to Helton is going to be huge for our quarterbacks. Maybe some recruits will see that early in the season and open things back up if we can’t flip Taulia.

Personally, I think Price's post was intentional to throw us all off. Atlanta Vol and others blew his secret visit so Price told JP and Taulia's family, "I got this, don't worry, I'll make them think he's all Bama with one simple post on VQ." And now VQ and Price get to break the story when he flips to the Vols.

Not fooling me...
