'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

Im pretty sure JG is the guy. I believe WM will leave. And KC will be on JGs heels. I think we only take one qb because of the numbers. Is seth washington still on the team?

My brothers son was at Peyton manning passing clinic this weekend and spoke to JG and watched him said he's become pretty accurate and seems to be progressing....great news for vol fans

He has never had issues on air. Adding in a defense along with pocket presence and ability to throw with touch smoothly without a hitch are his weaknesses.

All 3 can be improved so hopefully they will be. I will say his touch improves each semester you see him and Whitfield said it was def a focus this offseason for them with JG. So I expect it to be better

It's not over till the ink dries on the LOI with recruits like this. Other schools keep recruiting them, they take visits and are influenced by family, peer recruiting and how teams look on the field. Whether he stays at Bama or flips, other schools are going to keep pushing... hence the scramble for Plan Bs and Cs.

JG had paltry junior year stats in HS, great camp performances and a solid televised HS game as a senior before getting injured. I preferred Kendall at the time, but “trusted the coaches” and then his recruiting ranking seemed to back that up.

All said, I like the kid and hope he gets it done this year

I’m not going to say it’s likely to happen, but I’ve heard much more optimism recently about Tennessee’s chances of landing Tagovailoa than I would have expected around the time he committed to Alabama in April. I think the Vols might have at least a realistic shot, but we’ll see. Even if they were to flip him, it probably wouldn’t happen soon.

That's the equivalent to a reality show judge saying that a singer is "one of the best they've ever seen".

Hasn't seemed to hamper Bama and Clemson's ability to continue pulling top QBs.

This. Exactly this. You pull in as many 4 and 5-star QBs as you can get. They'll transfer if they don't win the job, yeah, but that's why you stock up and also get guys like Shrout who you can develop so you have them behind the young guys in 2-3 years.

Yeah but they keep transferring

So did Dormady. QB's transfer, that's part of it these days. Can't pass on Tau because you might sign a better QB in the next class. That's stupid unless you have multiple other elite QB's on the roster and we don't. And even then it would be stupid.

There's a reason they keep passing on QB's in '19...they know they have a very good shot at signing Tau. They're not passing on him in any circumstance.

I want the best. I'm just saying those other teams get the best QBs because the best before nthem end up transferring

That’s a very loser mentality. The best organizations are continuously trying to replace their talent with better talent. It didn’t hurt Georgia and Clemson’s QB recruiting.

LOL you can’t check my posts ... i wasn’t saying that it was a bad thing I was just saying it would cut down down on the ability to offer early playing time . Cool your jets Nancy 😜

Why is Taulia thinking of going some place besides Alabama now ? I agree it doesn’t hamper them or Clemson or Georgia . I would realisticly say that we aren’t where they are yet .
