'19 AL QB Taulia Tagovailoa

I grew up in a pastor’s home. Sister was abused by a female church member. I get the anger. God is good and can’t look at man. Hard at times. He is sovereign and that’s all I will say about it except it is wild how I got that revelation. We are all good here.

Life is a never ending process where the crap we face reveals the parts of ourselves that need to die. Failures happen, but only become problematic when we refuse to yield to the revelations they bring. Dying to self is hard, but living to self is much harder.

Being a PK I know a lot of stories like that. I have seen so many sheeps in wolves clothing over the years of my life, and it is a big reason I lost faith and wandered lost in the wilderness for a decade of my life.

I do tend to be cautious and suspicious of people sometimes, but just because I have those issues doesn't stop me from putting myself out there. Through the grace of God I have been able to help several people overcome addiction and other problems. I have also been hurt and taken advantage of a whole lot...It is just part of it if you really want to help people.

This is so true.

Exactly..That was my point. What works now may not work 3 months from now.

Which was my point. If it changes in 3 months, you change your plan as butchna posted. These coaches are in contact with multiple players at each position anyway. You have to in the recruiting business

We've got QB #1a committed. If Taulia comes we have QB #1b. If JG transfers and Taulia stays with Bama, we will have Shrout, McBride and Mauer. There could be another go as well. At that point you heat it up with the best of the prospects on the board. But you better be sitting strong with commitable offers at some other positions if that QB transfer never happens.

Simonton addressed a question about TT and what's going on behind the scenes and he said on the VQ podcast that...since it is Senifeld anny he would sort of quote Teri Hatcher from an episode, "not only was the news real but it's spectacular".

Price also chimed in and said that the dad is running the show and that it all depends on how the Bama season goes...Basically dad will choose whatever is best for the family. If older bro has the spot locked down and is doing well UT might make more sense with depth chart. Price said If not Bama definitely UT.

Thought it interesting that Najee Harris was also strongly considering transferring after a “disappointing” freshman season at Bama. A family friend reined him back in, but this was AFTER the NC game where he displayed some brilliance. Bama has four of the top DE’s committed in the ‘19 class...if we show something worth playing for, maybe they don’t sign every one of them?

Maurer outscored Taulia in every category during the Elite 11 finals except the long toss... he was 2nd to only him by a few yards

But since his brother plays for Alabama and had a good half in a clutch game he's clearly by a lot better

You're entitled to say who you think will be better by the end of their career. It could easily be Maurer.

However, I don't think anyone can really say that a couple of years of evaluation goes away just because one person does better than another at 4-day practice event.

Time will tell on both, and where they each end up may have a lot to do with it.

I think he's just trying to spread positivity in every thread right now. Haha. Both look like good prospects.
