I think the Cali LB ends up a Vol and Taulia probably at Ala. If Taulia had been here recruiting, it would have leaked by now and also no way JP let's him take an OV here. Which Simonton has said he's already planning. I just can't see him coming to TN on his parents dime to recruit a player to Ala. Also believe if that was the case, he would have made an entire weekend of it. I'll trust the VQ guys and say there's a better chance than some think. We won't know for sure till close to or on signing day. If and it's a big if he signs with TN it will be something we hear about at the last possible moment. No way he nor his Dad are putting him in a situation that he has to get pressured daily to stick with Ala. Ala fans are crazy and a third of his HS Coach's are Bammers too. Would be too much of a distraction during football season. He probably ends up in Tuscalooser, but no way he took an Unofficial just to recruit a player to Ala. With social media, it would have come out already and no chance in hell he's ever allowed back on campus by JP.

Ummm .. you have Two Qbs that have played in and won NCs , you have Bears grandson committed , Tagovailoa committed and you need a Brown as a back up ? What’s he backing up ? In case of what ?

You have a backup plan for every single recruit you have committed. No matter how strong you believe their commitment is or is not.

That's true, but not sure you make it well known that his scholarship is only committable if one of their 2 QB's decommits. Plus it's a rare situation where both QB committs are legacy players. One being the grandson of Bear Bryant and the other who's family uprooted, moved to Alabaster and his brother will still be there. Truthfully Saban should not have to sweat either of them in that very rare case. But I guarantee Saban has heard the TN and LSU rumors. Their relationship with Pruitt is really the only reason there's any chance at all.

This is from numerous Ala fans that have some kind of connection that I've known forever..If Tua didn't play in the NC game and had remained stuck behind Hurts, he was leaving. That's obviously been mentioned before, but is supposedly very accurate. There could be some second thoughts, knowing Taulia is gonna have to deal with some of the outcry of their beloved Bear's grandson, if Tyson loses the QB battle. They may not wanna deal with that situation again, but at a much higher level with It being Paul Tyson. He wouldn't have to deal with that at TN. Just food for thought. But living in Ala, the Tyson vs Taulia debate is definitely a much talked about topic. It's potentially a no win situation. These damn Bammer's don't play around when it comes to Bear Bryant. I truly believe before Saban came along, they were trying to figure out ways to bring him back from the dead or clone him. The Bryant obsession is still very real. Exactly why I believe Saban wants to win 2 more Championships, so he can pass Bryant for most Championships won as an Ala Coach. He passes him in most won in a career with 1 more, but needs 2 to pass Bryant for most as an Ala Coach. Saban is probably done when and if he gets those last 2.

This may just be me, but if a HC tells me my scholarship offer is only committable if someone decommits, then there's no way in hell I'm waiting around. Nor would I even consider that school anymore. That's like a girl saying if her first few choices don't work out, then she will give you a chance. Although Not everyone thinks the same way as me. But that's a pride thing to me and would say the same thing if it was TN. I would wanna feel wanted and not just a backup plan.

Madisonvol said it way before even VQ did. Also remember to follow the visits. It comes down to how we look this year on O and if he thinks he can have success in the O he sees.

I agree, I don't believe he is either. Just wonder if he committs elsewhere, then say Taulia decommits. Does he leave the school who showed him top priority love, for a school where he was the 3rd option? Or does he stick with his original commitment? Does we hold off and risk other schools going a different QB route while waiting to see what happens at Ala? I'm really hoping Brown signs elsewhere and Taulia decommits at the last minute and signs with us. Just cause I hate The Bammer's!

Absolutely! They definitely aren't going to burn bridges, especially with Pruitt, who they love. Alabama definitely isn't gonna ask Taulia to take an unofficial to recruit 1 player, they do just fine recruiting without having to do that.

What I do has nothing to do with this. I heard all the quotes from Taulia about how committed he was to Bama the other day too...If they have so much integrity, then we are wasting our time.
