-VQBefore Hobbs commits, we believe Alabama running back Khalifa Keith will come off the board. Tennessee just stayed persistent in his recruitment and that left a big impression. He has been to Knoxville three times this fall and as he said, ‘Tennessee didn’t miss’ when he came to town.
Tennessee is going to look to add a back from the transfer portal in our opinion and they would love to be a factor with a premier back if one hits the market. If a premier back doesn’t come available then Tennessee may look to roll with what they have versus taking just a body.
Yep. We need guys in the backfield (along with OL and TEs to block for them) who can truly take over the game and grind out yards if a defense sells out to shut down our vertical passing game. That’s partly what we do already, we just need to be able to do it more consistently against the best of the best defenses.Kentucky does scope out RBs really well. Not a bad steal. And a missing ingredient in this offense. A big bruising back to go with our spread them to sidelines offense
Total guess for now
Solid back but not elite. We’re deep with solid backs already and I would be surprised if they added anyone to that group who’s not elite. JMOWas just randomly looking thru the nations top running backs, andddddddd I want Carson Steele (Soph.) from Ball State. 6'1, 215. 1376 rushing yards this year with 12 TDs and a 5.2 ypc
just a under the radar type guy, that would be a nice pickup imo
Not saying he is transferring, but it's fun to imagine
Jamir Gibbs is elite. There’s only a hand full of elite rb’s in college. Steele in a good rb, a great rb for Ball State. Clearly this is just my opinion and I’m not Littlevol or one of the other self proclaimed talent scouts on VN. it’s fine if your opinion is that Steele is clearly better than the guys already at UT.Explain why he isn't elite? Just curious, because he plays at Ball State?
