Agree with this maybe cut his work load to short yards around the goal line and in the red zone. He does well thereI agree. No disrespect to Small but I like Sampson better too... and the idea of someone with Seldon's raw athleticism at the position if he can learn the playbook and pass pro is pretty exciting.
Even if Small is considered #1, it is apparent he cannot hold up to the work load he's been given. He needs to be scaled back.
I think Sampson truly has the best moves out of all the rbs. He is filthy. Needs to learn how to take on a blitzing Lber but he got better as the season went. There were times I thought he would get our qbs killedNo…no blue font, dude. This is what seeing different things looks like. Check out the Kentucky game and maybe you’ll change your mind or whatevs.
Only one play comes to mind and errybody saw it. Like Wright’s early fumbles, I think fans overblew it but the coaches seemed to concur with the snaps dispensed.I think Sampson truly has the best moves out of all the rbs. He is filthy. Yep, plus what was his workout prior. Was this his last exercise? How many exercises in total. Heavy day? Light day? Lots of factors. Either way that’s an impressive burnout setAh, haven’t used anything but Olympic lifting plates for a while, threw me off. I need color codes!
So 330~ with the trap bar
Nothing personal against Small but the biggest differences between the two were that Wright is learning to run with power and is significantly faster than Small. Small has some quickness but straight line he runs too long in the same place. Lots of motion but not a lot of displacement.Weren’t a lot of his On the goal line?
I’m just glad we have both.Nothing personal against Small but the biggest differences between the two were that Wright is learning to run with power and is significantly faster than Small. Jabari Small is the personification of VFL. He is a true underdog that many assumed received a scholarship as a packaged deal with with Big O. He's done nothing but out work more talented individuals, played injured, defy the odds, and never complained. That's why it bothers me when fans continually discount the young man.I’m just glad we have both.
He is all that, and I am a fan. Obviously the coaches are also. I hate it when fans down the players they are supposed to be a fan of. It’s not like we were not able to score points. Better skilled players will come in time. Dale Jones is one of my all time favorites because he was an underdog that worked so hard and loved Tennessee. But I appreciated AL Wilson just as much.Jabari Small is the personification of VFL. He is a true underdog that many assumed received a scholarship as a packaged deal with with Big O. Honestly the biggest difference is vision. That’s the hardest thing to teach and Wright has great vision and patience, then he bursts through the holesNothing personal against Small but the biggest differences between the two were that Wright is learning to run with power and is significantly faster than Small. I don’t know why we constantly do this to true VFL’s and then complain like crazy when another one decides to not to play in a bowl game…. As for small…. The majority of his runs are the quick right up the middle carry runs…. He is also usually our short yardage and goal line back…. When we bring in Wright… we start pulling lineman more and trying to get him to the edge after we get the defense pinching inside…. I think Keith will take over the Small role when he graduates.Jabari Small is the personification of VFL. Wright is bigger and faster. He should be the starter next year.Wright had some goal line carries too. Over the course of 150+ carries, those goal line carries aren’t enough to make that much of a difference. Wright averaged 1.2 more ypc. The difference was clear. And Wright is getting better.
As others have said, the reason Small got more carries was bell security and pass protection.
