-VQTennessee’s signing day took longer to get done but for the most part things went according to script. Everyone is still waiting to learn about Dylan Brooks. In our estimation it’s a matter of when and not if. Auburn has definitely been working to get him on the phone as they push prospects to not sign until at least Friday if not February. That’s how they worked Byron Young as they are telling recruits that Kevin Steele could have the job by Friday. Young went ahead and signed with the Vols anyway.
There is some internet scuttlebutt that Dylan Brooks has already signed with Tennessee, but Tennessee's coaching staff is using Brooks as payback with Auburn for the dishonest situation last December involving Jay Hardy. With Malzahn being recently fired, I'm not sure that would still make sense, but I have read that speculation in multiple places. Who knows? Maybe that line of thinking is misguided, but it's floating around out there, so I thought I would bring it up as a possibility.
Been talking back channels
Kiffin was a good hire.No offense
But this sounds very much like the whole Gruden fiasco
Back channels?
This is not good IMO, back channels gave us kiffy, Dooley and Pruitt
Our leadership and donors as a whole have failed badly when it comes to the football program hires lately .... SO TELL YOUR BACK CHANNELS TO GET IT RIGHT FOR A CHANGE
Kiffin wasn't a good hire at the time. He's a good coach, but when we hired him, he was still so immature. Still is, to a degree, but he's a better coach now than he was then. He's learned more where the boundaries are, and doesn't cross them quite as often.Kiffin was a good hire.
Dooley was a knee jerk hire.
Pruitt was one of the last people willing to take the job. Lol
Some of you guy from the FF come in here with no knowledge of recruiting and spout sh*t to see if it sticks. Please don't be morans, if so just do it in the FF.

You don’t wait to get better. You LOSE the time that could be spent in a winning effort. You LOSE players already in the program and make them consider other options. You LOSE recruits that could potentially hasten your ascension in the conference. And you LOSE some fans which includes families of LOST players and LOST recruits. There’s more. Maybe I’ll provide an update after my coffee.I'm curious what you think we'd lose by firing him after a bad 2021 season that we would have kept by firing him this year?
Your quoted guy wasn’t involved in all of that. Has a good rep on here. It’s not always all or nothing. No offense

yeah, this too, is a consideration. if you can get the right guy now, knowing what we know about the 22 class.....and what we all think about it's importance to the next 3-5 years of the program, it may well be better to just go get that guy now. getting him next fall, that's too late. You don’t wait to get better. These elite 22 kids aren’t going to wait for us to get our future shizz together. They sign on around the oncoming spring and summer if general trends hold true.yeah, this too, is a consideration. if you can get the right guy now, knowing what we know about the 22 class.....and what we all think about it's importance to the next 3-5 years of the program, it may well be better to just go get that guy now. getting him next fall, that's too late.
of course, that depends on your confidence level in getting who you want now...................if you can, do. if you can't...............? may have to start making decisions FOR pruitt in regards to the staff....
