'21 AL WDE Dylan Brooks (Auburn transfer)

These elite 22 kids aren’t going to wait for us to get our future shizz together. They sign on around the oncoming spring and summer if general trends hold true.
yep. no way a new guy comes in next november, at the earliest, and closes that class in any way/shape or form.

it'll be uphill, relationship wise, if we do anything now....cause we'll be back to selling vision.

but, if the right guy, name, reputation, philosophy.....is brought in, that gap can be bridged a little faster maybe.

lots of things to think about.

time to earn those paychecks.

You don’t wait to get better. You LOSE the time that could be spent in a winning effort. You LOSE players already in the program and make them consider other options. You LOSE recruits that could potentially hasten your ascension in the conference. And you LOSE some fans which includes families of LOST players and LOST recruits. There’s more. Maybe I’ll provide an update after my coffee. 🤔

I can see some of this. I don't think losing the players already in the program is a risk... quite the opposite actually. Pruitt's players really like him and I think a bunch of them would leave when he did. I also think you risk all those things you mentioned by making yet another change, too. Once again, we're in a really crappy spot...

I said that exact thing a while back about firing him this year, but was told that the right coach would not lose any recruits... *shrug*

I’ve been saying that the 22 class in the state of Tennessee is loaded with talent.

I’m not saying we should focus more on recruiting instate players but it’d be a great start for the next guy.

We’ve been a door mat for Georgia, Florida, and Bama for so long, these kids haven’t grown up to see us relevant.

A change is needed now.

Part of me is hoping Brooks doesn't sign. More reason to let JP go.

I'm sure he's solid, but banking a whole class on an Alabama prospect Bama never really pursued heavily is worrisome. JMO

This is sick. You wish harm to the team because you don't like the coach. I'm glad your hope is for naught.

He’s a coaching lifer, so he’s built personal relationships with players on the roster. But you can LOSE them in other ways than outright protest. When they don’t believe what you’re preaching, they don’t buy in...thus performance. I’m not afraid of such players leaving...in a way they already have.

Lol it’s been widely known Bama never prioritized Brooks like UT/ AU did. Even FL writers have reported FL was never big on him.

I don’t think his added weight has been a good thing like he thought it would.
