No. Someone made those decisions in real time. Difficult decisions separate the good AD's and championship programs from those who drool all over themselves while tolerating and giving raises to guys like Jones.

9-4 was not bad for us and showing improvement. Zook’s situation I’m assuming was not the same story. Apples and Oranges comparison.

No. Not at all. I remember both guys well. Both had talented rosters. Both were the limiting factor to team success.

Not sure if you are trying to defend Jones but 9-4 with an 11 or 12 win team was very bad. If you have Hurd, Kamara, Dobbs, Malone, Jennings, Croom, Callaway, etc and score less than 30 ppg... there's a big problem. If you have that kind of talent and lose to a middling TAM team and a really pretty bad USCe team while getting blown off the field by Bama. That falls in the HC's lap.

But to do all that and lose to a 6-7 Vandy team to close out the season... is simply inexcusable. Jones was a master of doing less with more. Those three inexcusable losses- TAM, USC, and Vandy should have cost him his job and it shouldn't have been second guessed. That was an exceptionally "bad" performance considering the roster.

Still no word here? With signing day having come amd went with no mention of him I’d assume that means he’ll be here. Which is great. For him amd us. This kid is going to have more opportunity to play early amd often for us due to all the turnover. Let’s roll Dylan!!

I wouldn’t assume anything until he’s in a uniform playing on the field

He seemed to be pretty pissed about us dropping Roc Taylor (who signed at Memphis btw). Liked a bunch of tweets bashing Tennessee. Both of them are from Alabama.

I think since he has already signed he can no longer sign again if released, he will just enroll in his school of choice.
