It's only August. Technically we haven't hit on anyone until they sign on the dotted line and I'm sure they are still recruiting every position of need. Will be a lot clearer come December.

Hopefully a big year will setup some big flips our way.

I responded to a previous post basically saying the same thing. It's just the fact of his attitude & demeanor of the message he sent.

June 17 -Penn St
June 24 - Michigan St
Oct 15 - Florida
Oct 29 - UT

Saving the final visit, but as of right now, I like being slotted as the final visit, especially considering how much this kid seems to love his visits.

After the decommitment from Penn State shortly after his OV there, it now appears to be a UT versus Florida/Georgia battle (according to his father). I know we're all going to roll the red carpet out for this guy because his highlights are amazing. Even though we are competing against Georgia for several recruits this cycle, I have a really good feeling about Parker coming to UT! Jmo

i think if he were to visit in the fall, ideally TN (or anyone going after him for that matter) would like to get his OV scheduled as close to the last visit in Nov/Dec as possible. try to get him up on a saturday game for an unofficial...so i'd imagine he's probably rescheduling most, if not all, of his plans. i think you definitely want to be the last impression on him...lol..

depends on how you want to view the portal. in terms of having to 'recruit your roster' and use the portal to identify and fill specific needs, replace kids that portal out, it most certainly could be as /more important in a given year. i think if you look at what Ole Miss and Nebraska did in the portal this year, you could definitely argue the portal was waaay more important than HS recruiting for those programs.

Rivals no longer has him visiting UGA or UT. I believe he withdrew his OV dates of his top 2 schools in order for him to figure out when the best time would be for him to come visit both schools. Jmo

Valid point, but I think that just emphasizes how important recruiting is. You can fill some gaps with the transfer portal. Your recruiting classes are your foundation and without good ones, you can't get enough good transfers to help, IMO.

We will see how it works for them. I don't think that policy is sustainable, but it will be interesting to see.
