He hadn’t shown any signs of being a break the tackles runner well before the ole decision In my opinion. I would love to see him improve his game but he has a ton to get better on. He does have potential and a big arm, but he needs better touch and better accuracy. I myself think he has run soft to this point Amsler, and I tend to agree with you more than not on the Vols. But I am not discounting that he may not improve under our staff. GBO!

Bro, the dude is timid as hell when it comes to contact. I'm not sure what games you watched. He should be TRUCKING people. He slows and turns his shoulder at contact. These are just the facts.

Cool. He’s a QB. QBs are told…begged, even…to get what they can and then get down or out of bounds. So I’m okay with my QB avoiding contact. He’s supposed to.

Criticizing a QB for not taking enough contact…or “trucking people”…might be the most Vol fan thing ever.

Any fanbase out there isn't going to like having a QB the size of a DE that runs the ball like he's scared of every blade of grass he's stepping on.

I didn't say taking "Enough" contact. I said Cowering from contact when he should not be. I never said taking unnecessary hits. But get the damn yards when needed and not turn you back. Especially when he had 30-50 pounds on most of those DB's. I am a VOL fan...YEP.

It always depends on the situation. If an extra yard is needed for a first down you better not slide. You better put your pads low and go forward with some power. QBs do need to limit a train wreck when they can but sometimes you better knock some dominoes over. Milton’s biggest advantage is his rocket arm and quick release. If that can be fixed we all will be happy. So will squirrel white.

Probably a good move if he wants to keep that offer guaranteed. Cameron Miller and Chas Nimrod are also committed, crystal balls are rolling in for Kaleb Webb, and Chandler Smith, who's both bigger and faster, just decommitted from Florida following an OV in Knoxville.

Keep ******* around with the OVs after you've committed and and you just might find out.

Instead of falling forward, he's going backward. It's on film just find it and look at it. That's the same quality that you look for in a RB. Someone who hits the hole fast with power. Milton will never do that so he might as well figure out how to hit his receivers or just stop trying to run. Just my take

I would agree with that take. I think it sort of goes back to the point of not being elusive as well. He does have the ability to juke these defenders, so he basically just goes straight into them. I'm sure he's also coached not to take a big hit, so I doubt you're ever gonna see him lower his shoulder/head unless it's a goal line situation.

I agree its generally not a good look, but this kid, in this specific offense, could be a true game changer. We desperately need one of those guys that Bama seems to have every year. I dont see it for us next year, but hope that Squirrel is our guy down the road.

Not saying a single thing negative about his ability to play the position, or really, even wanting to look elsewhere if he has second thoughts. That's a big decision and he has options.

But there's a limit to the no. of WRs CJH will take in this class (& Webb just now committed) and he's not the only fish in that sea. If you're not solid, at some point the coaching staff might move on to someone who is.
