gives us his thoughts on the CFB season: “If they go forward with this, the season is going to be so different from anything we’ve seen before.”

poses some questions that still haven't been answered. "I think over the course of a season you're going to see some teams only play nine games, or 10 games, or 11. How does that determine championships and bowl eligibility? And who makes that decision?"

, who lives in Washington, D.C., tells us, “Personally I don’t see any way there’s going to be college football with any fans. Every TV executive I talk to thinks there will be games with fans, and I’m approaching this with too much of a Northeast mindset.”

Auburn AD Allen Greene on the college football season: “I'm optimistic, but we still don't know. There’s so much we’ve learned since mid-March and there’s still a lot to learn. We’re planning for an uninterrupted season, but we also have to have the necessary contingency plans.”

Grappling with the uncertainty of a college football season with COVID-19

Will there be college football in the fall?

I’ve avoided trying to answer that question for months now, and I’m now more confident than ever that the answer is: I don’t know. No one does.

To begin with, the COVID-19 pandemic that has gripped the globe for months now is a difficult topic to broach in large part because it has become so politicized. It’s unfortunate because you would hope that we’d be at our best when the circumstances are the worst, united in our goal to protect each other. But the reality is that not everyone is on the same page in terms of how to contain the spread of COVID-19, which makes it difficult to establish any sort of consistency across collegiate athletics programs spanning 50 states.

WILL HAVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL, NOT SURE ABOUT CROWDS

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Gov. Andy Beshear said Wednesday he expects college football will return this fall, but he’s not sure whether fans will.

Meanwhile, the number of new confirmed coronavirus cases in the state returned to a “normal” level Wednesday. And the spike in cases in other states should be a warning to what can happen if Kentuckians don’t stay the course on protective measures, the governor said during his daily briefing.

Sports business analyst Rick Horrow on the waivers some colleges are having football players sign regarding the coronavirus: "Just because someone signs a piece of paper doesn’t mean they’re not going to sue.”

on the impact of home teams not playing in front of full stadiums in the fall. "It will have a massive outcome" adding that it could benefit many of the SEC's inexperienced quarterbacks playing on the road.
