Minus the glaring red flag of iowa state. If they lost to a decent team then id excuse it. But iowa state are the bottom feeders of the big 12

It's really not that glaring. Step back and take a look at everything.

OSU played a tougher schedule, beat more ranked teams than Bama did, and beat more teams with a winning record.

Who deserves a chance to prove they're better than LSU? The team who won their conference or the team that already proved they weren't as good as LSU?

The team that played LSU to a tie in regulation. And it really isn't close.

But it is close - that's why there's this debate. The BCS #'s will be crazy close. It still goes back to perception.

BTW - good to see you AV123

Thanks VBH, you still bring the facts straight up.

But I disagree, we have seen this nonsense for the past 5 years. The top teams in the SEC are playing a different game at this time in history.

If they had lost to any of those ranked teams it would be a no brainer. But they lost to the kentucky of the big 12

LSU lost to Kentucky in 07, and they got in. Also, Florida lost at Auburn (not a terrible loss), while Michigan lost to (tOSU) 06. If this were Oregon or WVU, you would totally be against it.

The SEC will finally lose a NC game. Voters wanted to screw the SEC one way or the other.

Actually, it's looking like Alabama will get in.

Please quote where I said OSU is the better team.

IIRC, the stated goal of the BCS is to get the 2 best teams on the field for the NCG. Arguing that OSU deserves to be in the NCG is an argument that they are the second best team in the nation, and thereby, better than Alabama.

I know a lot of people aren't going to be happy with this year's matchup for one reason or another, but it appears that this season the BCS will get the nations two best teams on the field to play for a title. That's validation that the system is working exactly as it's designed to.

What was osu ranking? I'm assuming light years ahead of kensucky. If so michigan got hosed

Appears? We have no idea who is better between OSU and Bama. The BCS is a damn farce.

No, it got the 2 best teams in the nation on the field for the NCG, which is exactly what it was designed to do. Whether or not you want to admit it, the BCS works like a well-oiled machine.

You don't. I do.

No, you just lack the objectivity to admit that there is doubt as to who is better between the two teams.

You have nothing to back any of this garbage up.

No, being a UT fan I've seen a larger amount of quality football than you and can understand the difference between an OSU and an Alabama.
