Dang he was a big ole boy too, that sucks. Hate to lose players, especially lineman.

I thought he might get a shot next year with all the senior departures we have this year. Maybe someone closer to the team can comment about his development (or lack thereof). He certainly looked the part. Maybe he looked likethe Tarzan, but played like Jane as my old high school coach would say.

Call him back & put him on the DL since we have injuries every week. Dude is like 6'5" & 307 lbs.....make him a DL.

Best of luck, Alan. Hate that you're leaving just when this train is about to get rollin, but you gotta do what's best for your future. Thanks for wanting to be a Vol.

Hasn't panned out, and probably sour that he's being recruited over. If you can't accept being challenged D1 football probably isn't for you.

As stated before...if he wants to continue his football career, this makes no sense...plug away this season and leave in good standing...maybe something personal led to his discouragement...good luck to him...next!

Maybe he just ain't good enough for major CFB?

Yeah, and let's be honest our O-line is pretty experienced and star studded. Plus he wasn't brought here by Butch---although it seems pretty premature for Posey. You have 5 spots up for grabs next season (of course Blair and Jackson will be starters). Was Posey even on the 2 deep?

I assume its due to him being buried in the lineup

Not sure why he hasn't stepped up
Yeah...before letting someone that big get away, I sure would have liked to see him moved to DT just like Hood did. Could have made an impact there at some point, perhaps.

I read something on VQ about him and Vincent Dallas exploring their future with the team...wonder if that means VD is going next? Especially if Devin Young coming back, means he is going to get no playing time anywhere.

not in the two deep. AS for DL its difficult to impossible for an OL to become a DL. Some Dl's are converted to OL but hardly ever the other way. The one exception I can think of was Nick Fairly who was recruited as a mid-level OL and turned into a beast DT.

Thought I read somewhere, in the past, that he was also a DL in HS. Might have been Kerbyson, but if it was Posey, it would have been worth it.
