Alan Posey no longer with the team

I don't get the bolting mid-season. They're staying in school-- on athletic scholarships-- but can't stay on the team for a few more months? Dallas played against UGA and just days later, he's done?

That tells me something happened that we may hear about later, or we may never know. It could be a situation involving both, or separate incidents. At least, since we have seen nothing about arrests and they are still in school, it probably isn't about illegal activity. Thank God for that.

As to them staying in school, with the new academic rules the NCAA has, that is probably why they are allowed to stay in school. Even if they leave the team, they will still count for or against the team's GPA. I am kind of fuzzy on what the situation is on this, so i defer to those more informed on the academic issues.

Hmmm, him losing training table privileges might hurt. A lot of really good food for players. Shoulda stayed thru season.

It was the catch 22 of his personality. Fulmer was loyal to a fault....absolute truth. Players and coaches. Just the facts.

yes he was,got him really far too, from what his ex players have said, they all loved him,he would probably still be coaching and winning, except for a bad hire at OC,to fit his team

if they have made a decision to go elsewhere, why would they want to stay here and endure practice?? practice is not fun for those playing all the time let alone those who don't play very much.

Because they made a commitment to UT and their teammates and want to honor it through the season? That used to be considered the right thing to do.

That BS!!!

It didn't used to be the thing to do it will always be the right damn thing to do.

These kids are quitters!!!

This happens with every program every year... There will be several from the 2014 class that will leave a few years down he road.. It's called competition and the lack of playing time.

Easy Bruin LOL. I agree with the principle of what you are saying. I would just ask for a bit of restraint until we know everything. I just don't want to call a kid a quitter because they are opting to go a different direction. Damn near the whole team quit under Dooley they didn't have the decency to leave the field (and yes I blame Dooley, not the kids). It's a VERY hard switch to go from being a loser to the effort of doing all of the little things it takes to be a winner. These guys have been in a lackadaisical program from the time they started playing up until Butch took over. That switch is tough and may be more than they signed on for. Or it may well be something else that we don't know about. :peace2:
