The congressman I worked for employed his wife on their campaign staff and paid her well. He never paid interns. Then he gave his sons girlfriend an internship and started paying interns on her first day on the job. His voting record was very conservative, but he was swampy as hell. He’s getting paid. I’ve seen people point out that she claimed it is so he can have access to her Google calendar used by Congress, but that’s been shot down by people that work on the hill and said Congress doesn’t use Google.
