I'm going to float this idea here......again.

All representative and senate salaries and expenses should be born by the states that elect them. DC should build a compound (easily defended against attack) and furnish equal living quarters for all reps and senate members. Federal money for the upkeep and transportation to and from their jobs. A stipend for meals while in the District. Period. States fund EVERYTHING else that their members do. Travel expenses, all meals and other items outside the District, State dinners hosted could get a stipend from the Feds but not much and the same for everyone. The states get to vote for salary increases for their elected officials. This would be a game changer in DC.

I've been on the "dorm" train for awhile, too. Don't even need a stipend, eat in the "dorm" from the cafeteria.

Yep, agree, states fund it, less D.C. bs. start up the petition.

Her comments say it all. It's we, us, don't earn enough.....F*** all of them. That's the quintessential ME, not my duty, not for my constituents, not for the betterment of my country, just, ME and benefits to ME.

She doesnt earn enough as a 5% top wage earner.

That's right every single Congress person is at least a top 5 earner. But they complain about it being too much.

She wants to be a 1%er like Bernie only faster because Bernie had to kind of hide his full on socialism for years , she’s proud to be a socialist I’m guessing within 5 years she’ll be a 1%er . ( if she doesn’t get caught up in a money scandal trying to get there .)

Many times when people vote in local elections they are fairly uneducated about candidates running for US representatives. President, yes. Senator, yes. Congress person is less important. They don't generally debate or have television spots. I wouldn't doubt that Cortez sneaked through as a relatively unknown and people just knew the incumbent wasn't very good. There's a good chance she's gone after her next election.

And Black Panther broke records and was a damn good movie and a very good story line. The character was introduced in Captain America Civil War before being a stand alone.

Captain Marvel was a reach but I watched it because I wanted to see how it related to End Game. It was decent not great.

In General though Marvel did an incredible job over the last 10 years building a loyal following that included me.

Edit: Now this Cortez stuff probably sucks but people are into ignorance and shallow on television these days so it's probably a great following from those groupies.

I just don't get the love for those movies. Could not finish watching any of them.

Hollywood needs to Stop making those dumb super hero movies.
