I gave my 2 cents about the name and what would have happened had the races been reversed. You choose to make some comment about going all political and is just asked if your diatribe above wasn't political. Who’s shutting down the left that has almost collectively repeatedly called for free speech to be banned? Forcibly shutting down and assaulting conservative guest speakers at colleges, etc. I’ve been on vacation, so who was the rep and what did they say? Again, his singular step toward stupidity pales in comparison to the collective assault on free speech by the left. C’mon, PJ... don’t act like the left hasn’t led the charge in that department lately. And yes, I hope that rep is dealt with. I have no use for someone that doesn’t support free speech.

I actually don't think we are disagreeing. I was just asking why the upset, and let me clarify, in this thread and about the movie not with you (I read more into your response than was there, my apologies), when Will and Denzel don't receive any of that criticism. I must be missing something. I've googled this and not sure I see specifically what you're referencing. WHAT exactly was said and being supported by the leader of the GOP? Like I said, been on vacation and missed a lot. Your response to my OP, however, deflects somewhat from my point. I don't disagree with you that any impediment of free speech from either side is wrong, but my OP dealt expressly with the number of self avowed and admitted Socialists/Communists filling seats in local, state and federal govt. Those ideologies and the Constitution cannot coexist. History tells us that.

I do remember though the people living under the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic had immense freedom to pursue their individual liberties. Same for Venezuela. They're doing well. You do realize that's the brand of socialism those in this country espousing its virtues are gunning for, right?

Communism is simply amplified socialism. Socialism gives the voters the impression they are controlling things; communism removes any doubt that they aren't. Where socialism is concerned, extortion of one's income with the intention of redistribution to others wouldn't fall in line with the ideals set forth in the Constitution. Socialist paradises always fail or become communist paradises; communist countries are always run by dictators ... only way it works; and we didn't constitutionally establish the country as a dictatorship.

What's scary is these people are actually being elected. Just 15-20 years ago they would have been laughed out of the race and would only have got minimal votes.
