Captain Marvel was a reach but I watched it because I wanted to see how it related to End Game. It was decent not great.

In General though Marvel did an incredible job over the last 10 years building a loyal following that included me.

I think Michael B Jordan is a terrible actor so i didnt like most of Black Panther but the stuff without him was good. not great but good.

Boy I thought liberals on this board was bad but you guys are making them look like keystone cops with white vs other races.

Why does a good movie have to be affirmative action or politically driven because it has a mostly black cast? Would you feel better if whites dominated all the major films? Lol. One of the things I hoped when they came out with Panther is it wouldn't turn into that type of film. I don't think it did. Now I think you had many blacks proud that Hollywood could pull off a mainstream film like that. They had to introduce Black Panther in a way that made sense. I would say there is a small minority upset and want to suck on a binky and cry in the corner.

Why do you need liberals when some of y'all are good at making yourselves look bad on your own? Careful not to forfeit your right to dispute a liberal making race debates when I see it in this very thread. Personally I don't care if a person is black, white, brown, red, tan or any other color. I defend good people. Good policy. Or in this case good films. Marvel Studios got richer. On the flip side I will criticize the opposite.

Whats is the difference in Panther than say anything Will Smith or Denzel Washington did? First, the name choice doesn't represent the movie in a good light. Were the "Captain Americas" the name of a gang of terrorists from the 60's and 70's, the character would never be mentioned in a movie.

Black Panther comic character predates the Black Panthers formation, by a few months, actually. So, if someone did some bad stuff and called himself The Punisher, should the franchise be abandoned.

It is what it is. Your denial and acceptance of biased agenda movies and even society is the problem. Black Panther and Captain Marvel were very average movies that aren’t with watching twice but were severely overhyped due to the agenda they wanted to push.

Obviously I don't agree with you often but I think there are greater problems to worry about than turning a comic books film into a political debate.

I don't know what Capt Marvel and Black Panther movies are about, but most everything out of Hollywood has a political agenda these days. Entertainers can't keep their mouths shut about Trump and conservatives.

Black Panther, the comic book character, predates the Black Panthers, the political group. Black Panther was the first mainstream black comic book superhero. He was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and first appeared in the pages of the Fantastic Four. Why make a movie about him? Because he's a major character, and, IMO, a pretty bad ass character at that. If you don't like the movie, that's fine. We all have different tastes. Just don't watch it.

Marvel is crafting a cinematic universe with their characters. That means weaving in various characters and storylines. Some you may like. Some you may not. But in the end, they're just bringing what's existed for decades in comics to the big screen. And judging by their box office tallies, they're doing a pretty good job of it. But like I said, not every movie is for everyone. Plenty of popular movies that I personally never liked.

A socialist should be at odds with a communist.

However, today's American young socialist/communists are too dumb to understand. They just know that they are envious and jealous, and want what other's have that they don't have. So, any means necessary to make themselves feel less pathetic and part of something. Lucky for them, in about 20-30 years, China will be their master and they can learn all about it.
