That's not what is being suggested at all. They both like to whine all the time about how opinions get censored which is a lie. Dropping fbombs and calling someone an ahole in anger and it will get removed. That's consistent across the board whether some like it or not

mmmmmm have to disagree here. I've seen things censored going right to left that are left alone going left to right. Same for white to black vs. black to white. There is a double standard in the PF.

There are more than 2 rules. Some are higher on the list for others

I probably should have included your other post about defense. I agree with you about wars generally. There are a few instances where our participation was necessary to prevent a greater evil, but to me that doesn't cover war with a country just because they sponsor terrorism. The best defense is a great offense doesn't really work that way ... especially against third world countries. Defense is expensive, and all too often GOP spending for defense is out of line because Dems cut defense spending and left us with an atrophied military.

Not enough spare parts to put our entire fleet in the air......period. Not enough spare and replacement parts to allow sufficient training. Deaths happen at the soldier level when defense budgets get cut. You want to cut the defense budgets, whack about 75% of the Generals and their staffs. Stop drumming kids out because they reached Major and simply can't/don't want to go any higher. I could make a half dozen changes sitting at my desk that would help tremendously.

Unless its Freak, who I guess technically isnt a mod, and whoever "member #1" is, it is technically because of a mod that it gets deleted. Yeah they broke the rules, but as the saying goes it's only illegal if you get caught. You do the catching. It's on you, even if you are in the right. Unless again VN works completely differently than we believe it does.

We dont know who deletes our posts or who gives out infractions or whatever. So it's impossible for us to do so. Unless it's literally on Freak, but from conversations with him it doesnt sound like that is the case.

Try it, have a mod give you an infraction. Maybe it's different for you as a mod, but the couple times I have gotten nipped it's been anon.

I only report when posts are vulgar or are unnecessary attacks on someone's family. I have reported things said about loother's kids. Otherwise the report button is for SJW's that can't stand the truth.

There are no infractions being used with the new board and all mods (incl freak) can and do delete posts.

It's not just now, it has been going on over a period of years........mostly since Trump got elected and in the FF about Josh Dobbs and racism.

That's the biggest issue is when someone quotes a post that gets removed theirs will also likely get deleted.

I have had a few deleted calling someone a racist that was absolutely out of bounds pointing fingers at white folk. I used basically the same language back, BEING VERY CAREFUL, and got whacked. I believe all it really takes is someone reporting a post and saying their feewings are hurt and the post is gone......assuming it doesn't break the vulgarity rules.

It tends to kill off any real discussion. You cant even bring up what gets wiped out. Makes conversation with others difficult if its half gone or what you are replying to is gone. Not saying no modding, just pointing to reality.

Pretty sure there are others who take care of our mess without getting personal about it. And I would see it as darn near impossible to avoid cries of bias if one is mpodding a conversation they are actively engaged in. Like people thinking trump interfered in the investigation The implication is.enough to be damaging.

Both my dad and my brother had that problem in the AF ... they were there to fly. Both did retire with over twenty years ... although it doesn't work out that way for many others. So now we have significant military pilot shortages, and yet there are probably still active programs oriented toward eliminating pilots who just want to fly. The military is often it's own worst enemy. One thing I've found over the years is that many people like what they do, have no desire to move into management, but they can certainly sniff out the BS coming from people who have absolutely no business being in a "leadership" position. I read something in an airline magazine a very long time ago and it's one of those few things that tend to stay with you for a lifetime. It goes something like this, "Nobody knows the job better than the man doing it." It should be the first rule taught to anyone entering management ... anywhere.
