Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

I'm not, but if I were - you could certainly tell how it wasn't working by the way you keep engaging me with outrage not outrage.

Thanks hoss, the technical aspects of the election methods is exactly what needed to be clarified here.
You said you found it interesting that the election of Trump is a result of the pendulum swinging from the left, but AOC's election isn't a result of the pendulum swinging from the right. It isn't as "interesting" of an observation when you consider they were elected in totally different types of elections, hoss.

The pendulum of the Bronx/Queens is always left.

You sure about that? I remember the SBC boycott of Disney, Christian Coalition protests at The Last Temptation of Christ, people burning Obama in effigy, etc.

Maybe the right just calls it by another name?

Are you even old enough to remember the "Last Temptation"?

Once again, how the hell is the US going to change the climate? I postulate the following:
1) America produces less and less CO2 every year.
2) The issue is with population control. The US without the addition of illegal aliens is basically shrinking. If my math is correct, our growth is about 180k per year. If left alone, we would actually shrink our population and with the advent of more fuel efficient vehicles and coal fire conversion to LNG, we are doing our part.
3) If the rest of the world could control themselves, we wouldn't have a problem.
4) If the moronic liberals in this country weren't such pussies, we wouldn't have a problem in this country.

/end rant

Again, thanks for the civics lesson but we're talking about the why, not the how.

C'mon man, catch up.

That is the why as well, smart ass. I can't figure out if you truly don't get it or if you're being pedantic.

AOC was elected in a parochial election. Nowhere near a representative sample of the country, and it always is hard left. Donald was elected in a nationwide electoral vote. Hence Donald's election was more evidence of something, AOC's was not. If a far-right Tea Partier was elected in rural Texas, would that be evidence of some "interesting" trend that was taking place?

The sun comes up in the morning, 1+1 = 2, and Bronx/Queens elected a strong Democrat. Big deal. It isn't a sign of anything other than what always occurs happened again.

LOL, if you say so.

You guys sure are spending an inordinate amount of time tearing down a plain ole' also-ran democrat from a blue state. She's totally not a product of the pushback, totally.

The fact that Queens/the Bronx elected her, or someone like her, isn't evidence of anything remotely interesting or insightful.

Whether or not she and her message take hold at a national level is another question. I wouldn't totally rule that out, so don't lump me in with others in the thread. I see how her message is appealing, even if I disagree with it.
