Montario's nagging KNEE injury didn't seem to hinder him or keep him out of any games. That's all I'm going to say on the matter

Bryce Brown was not a SEC caliber back. He had almost no yards after contact. In fact I would guess that Wes Brown had more yards after contact and that was on the last play of the Vandy game on one return.

From what I heard, BB knew after the first practice last Fall that he was in over his head.

ummm... Bryce had a higher YPC average than Hardesty in 6 of the 12 games he played in:
WKU
Auburn
Bama
USCjr
Memphis
Ole Miss

Not bad for a true freshman against a 5th year senior who was a 2nd round draft pick.

And Hardesty did not have any injuries close to what Bryce had this year.

If after all this time you do not know about bryces hip then you do not enough about the situation to say anything.

Haven't seen him say anywhere that Brown was better than Hardesty. He's just pointing out stats and facts to people trying to say that Brown wasn't an SEC caliber back.

Classy.

I don't think I inferred anything from LV and his statement other than that Bryce Brown is likely going to be a good (if not great RB) for some college, whether it's the University of Tennessee or not.

To try to discount the evidence of that is just ignorant.

JMO! But if Bryce does come back to UT, some/alot of you all on here saying he isn't a SEC caliber back will be eating your words.

Roy Upchurch - 6.2 ypc
Mark Ingram - 6.1 ypc

Ingram >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Upchurch

With that OL and run heavy offense Bama ran that 0.1 yard is statistical noise. Hell, even a full 1 ypc difference is statistical noise. I would also look at the number of total carries each had and number of yards after first contact. Ingram's 6.1 is way more impressive then, and completely worthy of his heisman.

The BB and MH ypc comparison is completely valid, especially considering one was a true freshman and the other was a 2nd draft pick, 5th year senior. Even if BB came in at half of what MH did in ypc it would be noteworthy.

Hardesty never had enough pain where he had to miss games last year. Bryce did.

It's not impossible for Montario to have just been tougher than Bryce. He was the #1 back and a senior, my thoughts would have been he didn't want to miss a game no matter how much pain he was in.

It's not like it really matters because he is gone anyway but I have a very reliable source to the situation and Brown told him that Kiffin promised his dad a job if Bryce came to UT. The job never came and Kiffin moved on. Bryce asked Dooley to follow-up with the promise Kiffin made and Dooley said that he does not do business that way. Bryce will go to K-State, sit out a year, play for one season then go to the NFL. Write that Down!

You mean like we hired Janzen Jackson's dad to get him to come? I wonder whose dad LK would have hired this year???

BB is a strong enough back to play in the SEC.......I just wish he was a strong enough person to stand up to his Father,,,,,not an easy task at 19....

I'm not a BB fan, but this post is well said..

On a different note.... I think his dad took him home, because he was afraid he (his dad) wouldn't get paid now that CLK was gone.... Hopefully I'm wrong, but that is just my gut feeling..
