All the eggs are in a basket...

Our jackass administration was content with hiring a guy on the cheap that has never coached an NCAA tournament game. And you are content with defending his honor to the death. Good luck with that.

Why didn't they just put you in charge of hiring the new coach?

CCM has done everything he can possibly do except pay these two to come here. If he doesn't land those two I dare anyone say he didn't try his hardest to get them, because you with look stupid. IE you are the biggest CCM hater there is and that's why you have the biggest fail of a thread VN has ever had!

Thats a dumb thing to say. Granted they didnt hire a big name guy, but it certainly appears as Coach knows what he's doing. You dissappointed in last years performance?

He was expecting an SEC championship and Final 4 appearance before last season started.

Beating Austin Peay at home was not an expectation, it was a lock.

Making the NCAA tourney should be the minimum expectation every season.

What gives you the idea the coach knows what he's doing?

Particular coaching moves? Record in certain game situations? How they closed last season?

Your act is OLD

expecting CCM or any other coach for that matter, to take UT to the NCAA tourney with last years team/situation is asinine.

We should give Martin a raise because he "tries" hard. Got it.

How about bringing a team picked to finish 11th in the SEC within one game of making the tourney?

Your act is have low expectations so your hero Martin can live up to it.

I make no apologies for expecting UT to make the field of 65. Frankly, it's not that hard. He would have done it last year with some no brainer wins.

There were 3 teams and then everyone else in the SEC. UT was ranked low by the writers because of Martin being the coach. Don't try to make it some great accomplishment to make the NIT.

One really bad loss. Which he made up for. This is like being mad at Dooley for getting blown out by Georgia in 2010 after going 8-4 in 2011.

Had nothing to do with losing 88% of the scoring, huh?

You got beef with Cuonzo, or is this just your personality?

We honestly have no idea. He's mad we didn't hire a big name coach (understandable) but takes it out on Martin and thinks he is a joke.

So I'm guessing you're expecting the UT football team to win ten games this year? If they win eight games, would it be a disappointment?

"He would have done it with some no brainer wins"

I want to focus on that quote of yours....so you want to bash him more some bad losses that he should've won, but fail to mention great wins that he should've lost? Makes sense, your hatred is blatantly obvious, you should try to be a bit more discreet. If you want to play the, he should've won the games he was supposed to, then you also have to play the opposite, he should've lost the games he was supposd to. If you did that preseason you wouldn't have had this team making the dance, they'd have been around 11th in the SEC where they were picked, and probably have missed the NIT. However, he went out and beat a bunch of teams that he shouldn't have, and put the team in a position to make a late run into the dance. You just conveniently forget that he beat teams he shouldnt have while pointing out his losses to teams he should've beaten.

So, let me get this straight.

95 thought Martin was a terrible hire. Which means he must have thought Martin would suck his first year. Which means he probably expected 15 wins. Yet Martin won 19. However, even though Martin exceeded everyone's expectations, Martin is still a joke and should not be here, despite 95's low expectations headed into the season.

Great logic.

That's what I was saying. He discredits Martin because of a couple bad losses, but gives no credit for good wins.

Pure genius.
