All things STOCKS

Seems like a great time to buy as long as they are in the appropriate market. I looked up a few more. AMT, ARE, and PLD all seem safe.
Let's say Biden wins and goes through with his promises to shut the economy down to save humanity. A fair to middling picture for REITs becomes a lot more dire. You've had several retailers that occupy mall space go under, there's probably more to come. Other retailers won't be rushing in to snag those locations. Brick and mortar gets you killed right now, and a lack of customers means a lot of tenants are running out of cash to pay leases. Holiday shopping starts up in 8-9 weeks, do you see people crowding the malls for Black Friday? I just think near term there is a lot more downside than up right now.

AMT operates cell phone towers that providers lease space on to install equipment for 5G, service, etc.

ARE rents to biopharm labs with quite a few of them working to develop CV19 vaccine/treatment.

PLD leases warehouse space to amazon, HD, and other online retailers.

I do agree that brick and mortar retail may be a thing of the past. The convenience of online shopping has just been reinforced with stay at home orders this year.

Quarterly dividend. Right now it’s only .05 per share, per quarter. But when the .20 divi returns, that’s a pretty good amount.
I imagine if that dividend were to return, the price would have returned to pre-2020 levels, meaning you would have made a fortune. Would you still hold at that point?

I think I’d have to hold at that rate. But can you imagine if you were one of the lucky ones to load up at .36 and hold? Man oh man....what if....

So I’m curious, who you guys think wins in November? A month ago I would have said Biden, but my gut is telling me Trump wins in a landslide. USBets.com, anyone? Haha

Biden wins. It will be pretty close and DJT will protest it big time. Worried about markets in that case. Ultimately, I think Biden will get more support from the AA community than HRC and that will put him over the top in cities like Philly, Detroit, Miami, Milwaukee, Charlotte.

Republican keep Senate control 51-49.

Coin flip right now. It will get interesting if Biden is forced to start making live appearances. I really wish there would be some debates well before 11/3. After watching some of the DNC I think that Biden might not be mentally failing as the R’s narrative suggests. I also don’t think that Trump is a racist or has a self serving agenda. I hate how far “politics” has gone into the gutter.
