All things STOCKS

Ameritrade, Schwab, and Fidelity also reporting outages. I haven't had any issues so far today.

Reminds me of the dot com bubble and 9/11. The accounts could not be accessed online and the broker’s phone was constantly busy. I’ve not had trouble getting to Ameritrade today. I don’t have my token with me so I haven’t tried Schwab. No problem getting on Morgan Stanley, but it really isn’t a trading platform.

Actually during 9/11 I think the whole internet pretty much crashed, not just the broker’s websites.

Overwhelmed websites is good news for AKAM.

Zoom, Peleton, and DocuSign are off double digits. FDX and UPS getting beat up. FDX and IPS might be buying opportunities but AMZN growing in-house shipping makes it market.

Netflix is down about 5% while Disney is up near double digits. Disney has heavy exposure to cruises, theme parks and hotels is why there’s a divergence.

TMO and ABT are both off 5%. Selling on the news possibly. I doubt that they will be on the sidelines during the steps to knock out COVID. They are both great health care companies. It might be fear of President Harris planning to nationalize healthcare.

Buzz kill on CNBC. Apparently the Pfizer vaccine requires 2 injections 4 weeks apart and it needs the type of cold storage that most facilities do not have on site. Hospitals are going to be crazy busy. I trust that our military will do an excellent job staging the roll out. They had the field hospitals up in days even though the MSM ignored the success. Same with the hospital ships in LA and NYC.

I haven’t checked out restaurants yet. I did see the facilities nansgenent company ABM Industries is near it’s 52 week high. I would imagine movie theaters and Live Nation are happy companies today.

Biden is blathering about how he’s going to fix the virus. Setting the table to take credit for ending the a pandemic. No Joe, it will be the American Pharma companies and health care workers... NOT YOU!!! 12-18 months is about how long it usually takes. STFU you demented old hack. Okay. I’ll head to the PF. But this is a story about America’s world leading healthcare industry.

You mean a vaccine could be ready to ship around the first of the year? Something a president who was ridiculed for his handling of the virus said, but was made fun of. Im sorry ill stop as well

Earlier I heard that we’ll start to see some serious progress being made around March. That’s the timeline if Pfizer and the others stay on track.

What Biden can do is promote getting the vaccine when it is ready. I understand that frontline workers will be taking it early on and if they don’t have serious side effects then that should alleviate fears. I saw on CNBC this morning, when the polio vaccine was ready in the 1950s people were afraid to take it. Then Elvis took it and there was an immediate 30% surge in participation. So all those virtue signaling entertainers better be at the front of the lines with their sleeves rolled up.

I 100% agree, im very weary of the vaccine and most people I know are. Fingers crossed by next summer things will be close to normal again.

Full disclosure on the following:

Sold all of HLT (114.75), MAR ($131), WYNN (104.80), NCMI (2.95). Every other one on here, I sold 50%. Did buy some TSCO on the dip this morning but now just holding a lot of cash...

Quick math tells me I'm at around 45% cash. My largest holdings currently are financials. I'm shopping for opportunities.

AMC seems to be playing against a running clock. Do they make it to vaccine deployment/end of covid? If so, they could quadruple from here. This is a name I am looking at, but yikes on that balance sheet.

Even when the vaccine is knocked down, it will be a long time before I’m comfortable ever sitting in a packed theater. The flu was always deadly. This pandemic is a sea change IMO. Another will follow. The information now flows much more quickly and is so much more in our faces.
