All things STOCKS

Actually, I don’t there are business cycles at all after 2008. There might be a recession, but it won’t go hand in hand with deleveraging anymore. I am talking USA only here.

If you don’t know what business cycles were, then obviously it’s gonna be hard to have an opinion. I really didn’t understand what they were until they stopped happening and only very recently did I read a good book on it.

I'm thinking tech will stay on the upslope for another 3ish months. But, your guess is as good as mine.
to your comment about other stocks I am interested in - I have been eye balling $CRWD for a bit. Should have jumped in earlier in the year, but imo another promising stock that will continue to grow as tech takes over the world

Might have good long-term entry point for CRWD tomorrow morning...

Something weird going on with all those. I'm in/out on playing OKTA at times. Jumped in this afternoon when it went down 12% post earnings.

I've had CRWD; also a third one at times. Will have to go back and find name.

Glad I didn't buy much OKTA. Pain pain pain this morning.

Never try to catch a falling knife.

Would have to look back the records, but thinking I've lost money everytime I touch a cyber security stock. Need to just ignore that business line.

Tried to catch falling knife starting DG (once it broke 160) and DLTR (once it broke 130) positions.

Added to CRWD at opening as well...

Really tempted to start TGT position too...

Yes, I also considered DG. I love that company and find myself in their stores non-stop. And, it helps that they are based in Tennessee. I've danced in/out of their stock. I want to stay in there, but the consumer stapes business isn't very sexy. Unsure, why I'm drawn to drama.

I had an account with TD Ameritrade and earlier this week it swapped over to Schwab. I have to say I prefer the TD layout much better. Maybe it'll just take time to get used to the new format and I hate change especially when money is involved lol.

CrowdStrike is an interesting, solid business. I wish that the stock wasn’t so expensive. 15x sales and negative earnings. But they are close to turning profitable. I guess the million dollar questions are how fast can they grow the top line and how big their margins will be?

Without looking it up, their payroll must be a huge piece of their costs. I wonder if they are unique in that they can profit from AI by both cutting their own costs AND selling products that have a big AI component?

I also also wonder where they stand with the government? The US budget outcome might not be favorable for them relative to Inflation Reduction Act hand outs. But their customer base should be worldwide and not likely to diminish with China, Russia, NK, and other “enemies” on the attack.

They are about half the size of Palo Alto which seems like a possible company to take them over as a complementary business. CRWD might be too big for that takeover. But MSFT or GOOG could still absorb them.
