All things STOCKS

What do you want to do with it? RH is user friendly but has some issues. I would recommend webull or tda

I just have a little extra cash and thought about buying a few stocks just to play with and maybe learn a few things. Not looking to pay a bunch of fees.

Robinhood’s app is probably the simplest and has best designed phone app, imo. They had a couple of outages recently which caused them to catch a lot of grief, but unless you’re day trading I’m not sure it’s the end of the world and it seems to have been an isolated event due to the high volume of the recent crash.

Schwab, TD Ameritrade and Fidelity are higher quality and more reliable, but if you like using primarily your phone, the Robinhood app is really hard to beat in my opinion. It’s very well designed and user friendly. I’ve also heard good things about Webull and m1finance.
thanks

I might be out on my own here, but I really don’t expect the unemployment #’s to be that bad.

They were, by the Department of Labor's own words:

"the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 3,283,000, an increase of
3,001,000 from the previous week's revised level. This marks the highest level of seasonally adjusted initial claims in the
history of the seasonally adjusted series. The previous high was 695,000 in October of 1982."

A bit afraid you will see huge unemployment spikes (and a longer period of higher unemployment) since it will be better for a lot of employees to stay unemployed financially.
I work with folks filing new Unemployment claims. There has been a jump, but nothing crazy so far. It could be worse in the more urban areas.

I agree. I think as I learn more and get more comfortable (and want better tools at my disposal), I'll switch and start using TD Ameritrade or similar, but for now, robinhood is pretty simple and convenient.

and a reminder to others that if you're going to sign up with robinhood - make sure you have a friend or family member refer you so you get a free stock (could be worth not much, or could be MSFT or apple)
