Alligator attacks toddler at lagoon at Disney hotel

I can't believe anyone would argue with Lawrence Wright. He is absolutely correct, PEOPLE FROM OUT OF STATE DON'T UNDERSTAND THE DANGERS OF ALLIGATORS.

Disney F'd up and I can't believe it took this long for a kid to be killed. It's not assumed that the parents should have known of any dangers, they paid for a safe and fun experience and didn't get it.

Kind of insulting to say grown adults from other states are too stupid to know anything about alligators. We don't have any in TN but I don't need to meet one in person to know I don't want to meet one in the dark. I've never seen a great white or grizzly bear in person but I'm fairly certain they would be unkind as well.

I played golf in Orlando today. The course I was at had carts with GPS. Each time I got within about 30 feet of a water hazard (it happened a lot), the cart made an audible sound and showed a warning about snakes and gators. It also happened anytime you got near brush that you couldn't see to the bottom of.

Why we're you hitting near the water and brush. :)

Waldorf Astoria golf club. Surrounded by the Disney property

Because I suck! I used to be decent, but two kids hinder my playing time.

Wait till they grow up and start kicking your backside. I've got a 16yo that's starting to do that to me right now.

All of them, and had panic attacks. Haha

The Revenant grizzly attack scene made me cringe. The was soooo real looking. The scene in Backcountry was bad too. I remember Grizzly scaring the crap out if me when I was young, but it was nothing like today's FX.

I agree. I turned my head I know at least once during The Revenant.

Well, Disney can scratch the chain link fence idea for their ponds...
