WR Alshon Jeffery (6-3 217) of Calhoun County made his official visit to Tennessee over the weekend. The visit went well and Jeffery liked his time in Knoxville. It was his first ever visit to UT. He spent a large part of the time with Vols head coach Lane Kiffin. Jeffery is scheduled to visit USC this coming weekend. He also has visited Southern Cal and has been committed to the Trojans since the summer.

He said the visit went really well an he enjoyed his trip. Tennessee is right at the top even though he maintains he's still committed to USC. He said everyone will find out on NSD.

He gave Tennessee a 9 on a 1-10 scale. Sounds like a good visit.

When asked if he had been swayed, he apparently laughed and said we'd find out on signing day.

Many have thought he wouldn't go all the way to the west coast...so if it's USCjr. versus UT, what do you think he'd pick after this comment?

"I'm looking at what option will give me the best chance to get to the next level. I know that I need to improve and I want to go somewhere that will make me a better player."

Does that sound like our staff or the juniors?

Now that my friends is what you call a telling statement. If he really means that then USCjr can go ahead and pack up the Jeffery bandwagon and head home with their tails between their legs.

Unless we made up ALOT of ground this weekend, I don't see us getting him. Tennessee has been playing third fiddle behind USC and USC east.

It is definately possible, but I have my doubts.

So the VQ article says that he really wants to improve his game so that he can one day play in the NFL. That's good for us. It also says he rated his visit a 9.
